I have used them for grounding wires for my swimming pool
must seal it with splicing tape, and then use electrical tape on top to seal it as thoroughly as possible so that it is watertight, and then you can bury it directly.
It will be difficult to get good mechanical connection with two or three #14 as they are rated for #6, which is significantly larger, so the short answer is no, but I will test one to see if I can get good mechanical connection with two or three #14 and report back. It will be next week before the test. As an additional comment, I found these were of poor quality and did not bear a UL mark. I appreciate you.

There is no solid copper in this. There is a plated steel finish on them.
This is NOT solid copper at this price, but it is still a good deal if you do not need solid copper.
These were used to keep my livestock in with my electrical fence. I changed to using these instead of twisting the wire, and my voltage jumped a couple of thousand volts higher. It makes everything easier to do, and they are well priced. The same bolts are available at Tractor Supply for $32. definitely recommend this tool and have been considering purchasing more in case of need. Isaac Richlands, NC /

During processing, the metal becomes too soft and weak. A normal hand tool tightened on the first use would break it instantly. An open end wrench and another one. This is the last time I can rely on my grounding project.
A bag of these could be quite useful, but what use does it have?.
I did the job, but I'm not sure how long it will last. I'm not sure if the threads are sized correctly. As expected, the economy did not tighten up.
I am very pleased with them. I tightened them down securely without any problems, and they worked great for me. It's a great value for me and they do what they say they are going to do.
These are tools I have used a few times. I am very impressed with their workmanship. Threads on the nut are well machinated, and the nut fits and tightens perfectly. In the case of the 6 AWG unit, this is easily handled by 2 to 5 AWG Regardless of the type of welding cable used, there are wires as large as 6 AWG. In case you need to connect more than two #6 bolts in a single split bolt, I would suggest you buy something that has a #2 AWG or a #4 AWG specification. They make their split bolts in two gauges - #2 and 6 - and I have some connected to a number of several-gauge wires.
