It's been replaced twice so far, the motor once and the heating coils once. I'd rather not have to rip into my ceiling to replace it all at once. I'm just saying what I think.
The plug has the flat side to fit blades, and just a regular AC type plug to plug into the outlets of most NuTone systems.
This is a replacement motor I installed in Spring 2018 to replace a burned out motor I had installed 16 years ago. The unit still works perfectly. According to the original Broan fan/light manufacturer, it was rated for 70 cfm, this replacement motor works just as good, if not better than the original. Hence, I would have to assume that it's in line with the original Broan stats of 70 cfm. I hope this helps in any way.

The old fan cage had to be taken off with pliers, the new fan cage placed back on the stem using a small hammer, and the phillips screwdriver was used to take the fan apart. It took me about 10 minutes to replace the part, and I was not in a rush. My second NuTone was done using a C01575 Universal fan motor from Century Electric Motors for $22 cheaper than the first. With my EXPERIENCE changing the first fan, it took me about 5 minutes to replace that Although it cost nearly twice as much as the Century Electric Motors C01575 Universal motor, which was $11, I would have given it 5 stars. There is a review in my profile for that fan, which is Once again, the only complaint is the price, which is way too high.
This could have cost hundreds of dollars otherwise. The project is relatively easy, BUT there are a few downsides. Pay attention to what's going on. There are only two parts to this motor If that is the case, do your homework on the parts that need replacing or reinstalling before you begin, since some may be worn and will not work with the new ones.
An 18-year-old Braun/Nutone motor is being replaced by this one it was used extensively but did not run (a failure) Each other year, it needs to be cleaned. The fact that the unit was kept free from dust for 24 months had to extend the motor's life - I was surprised how much dust a bathroom fan can accrue in that time. It was a very easy install and sound a smidge quieter than the last one, but it's brand The purchase was definitely worth it.
A fan in my bathroom has made fairly loud screeching noises in the past, but I was able to fix this by spraying lubricant into the motor. However, the fix did not last too long (maybe six Now that it's time for a new one, I took the plunge. For a little more money, I thought I would get the actual part. Sure, I could find it elsewhere for less and make it work, however, I figured I would save more by getting the original part.
A loud whistling noise was produced by my old vent motor whenever it was switched Although I took it apart, cleaned and oiled it, there was still noise coming from it. My exhaust fan has now been restored to normal operation after I installed a new vent motor. It only took about 10 minutes to install the new motor. I like how quiet it is and how well it works. The reason I didn't replace it sooner is unclear to me.
Since the one I purchased 3 years ago was finally used to replace the fan motor in my Nutone bath fan, it is time for me to order another one. Seems like the motor is a bit smaller but does what it should be doing. It's great to see this working.
Buying this years ago would have been a wise decision. An old fan motor that was very noisy and probably ineffective has been replaced. The fan in my bathroom used to be quite old, but it is working again as if it were brand new. It is much cheaper and easier to replace a single component than an entire system.
This blower does not seem to be an exact replacement for my 665N, since the 665RP and 665N have different motor shafts. There are no spare parts available for the 665N since it has been discontinued. While I returned this unit, a couple of reviews for Vent Motor Assembly Part # 85598000 mention that it works with a 665N, so I'll give that one a try even though it's quite.
