It really works. When my niece called to say something was wrong with her central air, I went over to see what was wrong. The condenser would turn on, but the fan would not spin. The fan was so resistant to movement that I couldn't get it to spin even when I moved it by hand; I turned off the power and it spun freely. Changing the motor is a simple fix. Although the capacitor appeared to be in good condition, it was decided to replace it as well. (Purchased here; worked well) Unfortunately, none of the local stores that had them sold them to the general public, so I had to come here to Amazon. It was quite hot when it was sent, so having to wait a few days is inconvenient, but it is not Amazon's fault. br>br>Anyway, it took me less than an hour to remove the old motor and capacitor and replace them with new parts. They've been running for about a month now with no problems, and they're mounted exactly like the originals, with wires that are actually thicker than the originals.

This motor appears to be in good working order because it rotates my fan blades very slowly. It's entirely possible that the issue is caused by something else. My air conditioning technician (with over 30 years of experience) replaced two parts and told me it had to be the motor. Unfortunately, the problem did not appear to be resolved with the new motor. It's impossible to say whether the problem is caused by the motor or something else.

The temperature has been in the 80's, spring has arrived, and I've been miserable because the fan motor has failed. The HVAC unit was old and had been with the house for a long time, to the point where the sticker on the motor had peeled away. When kicked on, the fan would not spin, and if kicked off, the fan would not spin. To save money, we decided to order a replacement and install it ourselves. We took a chance on this motor, figuring that if it didn't work, we'd be able to return it to the right place. We replaced it today in 30 minutes, along with the condenser and other components. The house began to cool as soon as it started up. It was a breeze to place an order with this company. It was well-packaged, and I guess I can't read because I couldn't figure out how to get it out when I first opened the bottom of the box. Thankfully, the box was labeled "This side up," which saved the day. We got it open and hoped for the best. I would definitely order again because of how simple it was to place an order and how quickly it arrived. To expedite the delivery, I paid a $20 shipping fee. Keep in mind that this small engine is quite heavy. I can't say much about returns because I'm hoping it continues to work properly, but there was a slip included in the package to attach to the motor in order to return it. It had items to check off to show if anything else had been replaced, if there was any condensation, and so on. Basically, it's a troubleshooting card so they can send you the correct item if the first one fails. So far, I've received excellent customer service!.

Everything is in order. Our air conditioner's fan had stopped working. We need a new condenser, according to the air conditioning technician. Negative. I ordered it and had it installed in less than 20 minutes. Everything is in order. There are no special tools required; simply ensure that all of the wires are connected in the same manner as the old ones.

It just goes to show how old the previous one was! It performs better than the one that has become worn out. As simple as they come, installation went smoothly. I'm also replacing the matching 40/5 capacitor; simply order one and replace both at the same time; they're only $12 each.

It works well; it wasn't an exact match, but it suffices; you can use a long shaft motor to replace a short shaft motor with no problems; after all, it's just an electric motor.
