As a result, I receive a notification on my tablet. The motor for the bathroom fan has arrived. When I go to get the mail, I notice a large box on my porch that measures a foot in one direction and fourteen, sixteen inches in the other. That's when I remembered that other reviews said that if you buy just the motor, you get a brand new fan, and that's exactly what happened to me. And, as in the other review, I removed the motor from the assembly and shoehorned it into my installed fan, which is still working fine and the drywall has been patched nicely from when I installed it thirty years ago. The fact that the motor isn't flat on both ends was a problem, so I drilled a bigger hole and bent and reversed the screws in the motor until I had a working fan. HOORAY ! Now, I'm not sure why there's such a big deal about fan noise. This motor operates at a very low noise level. It was barely audible. What is going to happen if there are any other bathroom noises? In comparison to other motors I've seen, the motor appears to be a little frugal in its design. The fan blade is quite small, and I was able to reuse mine; the fan cover is very nice, though I was unable to use it at the time; and while the value of receiving an entire fan was lost on me for the most part, it is still a good buy.

I'm in my mid-twenties and I'm looking for a job Air King bathroom fan from the 1960s that no longer works. Instead of trying to find a whole new fan to fit the opening, I decided to take a chance and replace the motor. The motor had to be installed in a unique way, but they managed to get everything in place, and hopefully this fan will last a fraction of that time.

The new fan motor comes with a frame that appears to be designed for Air King fans from the latest generation. However, older style Air King bathroom fans with the aluminum grille can use the motor and plastic blade. Take a look at the photos to see the differences between the old and new fan motors. Despite the fact that the new motor has plastic fan blades, it still fits into the fan housing. I had to cut a small hole in the new housing to get the new motor out because the fan blade would not come out. It appears that it is being pushed forward. Then I had to flip the motor mounts to the opposite side in order for it to fit into my old fan housing. Doing all of this isn't difficult. It took me about 15 minutes to replace the fan, and it works perfectly now.

A rounded section rises up in the middle of this motor. Because the motor's old bracket is flat, this motor refused to fit. br>I inserted the motor and tightened one side, slightly bending it, before removing it and repeating the process on the other side. This appears to have bent it into the desired shape, and everything appears to be in working order. It appears that mounting this in a flat bracket would be preferable for universal replacement. Because if the motor had been designed for a flat bracket, it would have fit on both a flat and a center-raising bracket.

There was no precut window in the steel plate to allow a light to shine through, and there was no extension/adapter to hang the light. Prior to purchasing, I was unaware of this. however, a strong foundation- Regardless, it's a very simple unit to work with. Thank you very much.

Only one screw is required. These are a little louder and have a lot more power than the originals, moving a lot more air.
