Questions & Answers

Is it still required to install the "pro power kit v2" if I buy this trans to power a Ring Pro?

Although I don't know, one thing I can tell you is that the doorbell only rang once for me after I bought it. Don't spend your money on squander.

Are these transformers suitable for two ring 3 doorbells that are connected to the same transformer? I need a transformer for my ring 3. There are two doors on either side of the house one on each side. ?

To run the AC surge protector, I had to buy a 24 volt transformer from the hardware store. Despite having zero problems since the install of the 24 volt one, this one did not work for me.

Using a ring app for transformer voltage reading, you'll see a poor 14-volt rating I have a multimeter and it says 17v, but my voltmeter reads 15v The 18th century. Could you please tell me what is causing poor voltage readings on the ring app?

If you are (multimeter) measuring the output from the ring device or from the transformer, please let me know. It could be that there is a loss of voltage between the transformer and the ring device due to a problem One other possibility is that the multimeter itself is malfunctioning. If the low voltage indicated that the ring device is defective or has the low voltage resulted in improper operation, then the most important question is is the ring device functional as you expected?

It is not the case that a hardwired ring doorbell stays charged as I assumed. Is this on-the-go charger going to keep your phone charged or will you have to charge it every day?

Unless your transformer is insufficient for handling everyday usage, your ring doorbell will remain charged if hardwired. In fact, this transformer can provide the necessary power for a wired ring doorbell to function as intended.

This is the new transformer I replaced my new one with
5/5

In fact, I discovered that the transformer I had purchased was much lower voltage than what was required for the Ring Doorbell. I know, it's so simple, right? My boyfriend and I went to our neighborhood box store down the street and bought a tricycle The transformer has 10 (or 16 or 24) voltages. I was able to connect the doorbell in no time. However, it didn't work. It was only heard in the bathroom where the transformer was located that there was faint humming. There was a slight hum while the doorbell and video worked properly, and the chime worked, but the doorbell did not work. I purchased a Ring brand name transformer and now I'm no longer fooling around! My shock was great when it arrived! Compared to the wire, the shear size, and the quality, this one was night and day more sturdy. After hooking it up, there is no hum, everything works perfectly The ring. I appreciated you supplying a transformer that was better than what I could find in a store to accompany a great doorbell.

I made it in no time! As long as you are comfortable with electrical connections, installing it should not be too difficult
5/5

Simply shut off the power, test the circuit to make sure that the electric is off (in order to prevent a shock). To remove the cover, turn it upside down- Disconnect the wires by pulling out the three colored wires Turn over the cap and connect it to the transformer using the same color wires. Connect the belt and suspenders method with tape (don't need to, as the cap should be sufficient), then push the It's that easy. Close the cover with the Transformer attached and you're done. Do not forget to re-turn on the power!.

A 16V 10 VA battery is superior to a 16V 30 VA battery After upgrading, I no longer had a problem with the digital chime
5/5

For anyone even slightly familiar with doing home repairs themselves, this is a great product and relatively easy to install. I worked on installing the Ring Doorbell, which was by far the most complicated electrical task I had ever done. The long and short of it is Christmas was a memorable Christmas in my house, so I got the Ring Doorbell Pro and upgraded my home's internal wiring and digital chime box to use it. It is the latter that I purchased some years ago and installed. My issue was not resolved by this upgrade, so I attempted to call Ring before making the purchase to see whether this upgrade would fix it. As they had long hold times, I opted to make the purchase despite the long hold times. Moreover, the transformer is well constructed, has quality wiring and screws and brackets to mount it, and comes with nuts and bolts to secure When I have finished it, I will let you know how it turned out. I shut off the power, checked that the power was off, and spent about an hour installing it (I learned as I went). I'm slow, but don't hate me for it. Since I was not using screws or brackets, I was able to unscrew the transformer's plastic washer and attach it directly to my house's housing box (shown in the photographs). My prayers and flipping the circuit back on were once again done once the circuit was installed. It is my pleasure to inform you that my entire system is working perfectly now. The following fix might be what you need if you have similar issues as I did!.

This worked great! It was a Ring 2
5/5

Our doorbells were a Ring 2. Neither of them was hardwired, but they This is an off-campus event Here's the review The shelf transformer had burned out, so that was what we tried. I was able to accomplish it! Remind users to ring their doorbells after installation, and wait for the settings to appear as hardwired in the app after a minute.

Everything seems to be working fine now
4/5

I've ordered a transformer twice, and the first time did not work. Although it took me some time to set up everything the way I wanted, it was a pain to have to take everything down again after I hooked everything up. Nonetheless, Amazon shipped me a replacement within two days, which isn't bad at all, but I wish I didn't have to go through the system setup process again. Hopefully, I will be able to use it the second time around before setting up everything again. As far as I know, the product worked perfectly, and the defective one can be returned without In the end, I give it a 4. 0 I gave it a one-star rating because, as I mentioned previously, the first one I ordered did not Moreover, it feels solid, however, I think the price is a bit high considering there are many less expensive alternatives that are just as good. A second problem is that it is larger than most transformers of the same kind, so it did not fit inside the electrical box as the one it replaced had. I am encouraging you to try this, since it is currently working well. I hope that it will last a long time, so I recommend this. I'd also like to add that customer service was very attentive to the issue I first encountered, so that was a major.

I have corrected the problem with the doorbell ringing
5/5

It used to happen every day for my Ring doorbell to go offline! In the old transformer, the voltage was not high enough. The ring transformer I got from Sonic has solved every single problem I had after I replaced the old one. The product is easy to install by the do-it-yourself crowd.

Is it used? Opening the package and resealing it poorly was the cause of the damage
3/5

Transformer packing was torn where it had been forced back into place, the instruction book bent, and the packaging from the transformer itself torn. Over old tape, tape had been applied to the outside of the box. A dirty finger was on the person's face A dirty fingerprint was visible on the tape. Although the transformer works properly, it is not perfect.

Not put out enough voltage to operate the doorbell, which results in a bad product
3/5

I hardwired it in and it worked for two days It took 3 hours for the camera to go off line. The camera was replaced by a "non-ring" camera, because no one had it on hand. On the complaint forms detailing the issues, a number of problems were identified.
