As of this writing, no consumers have responded to I found the installation process to be very easy.
Because it's a coated wire, I presume that it will be ok for both indoor and outdoor use. It is mounted to the frame of my putter door. Fronted by a storm door, it is one of the few buildings with a roof. The ground is not truly exposed to the weather, so it's not fully exposed.
Previously, my ring would last only a few days but this plug-in has lasted much longer. I don't have to worry about charging it anymore

Getting rid of "frequent tedious RING doorbell battery charging" was the reason for buying this. I'm so excited! I'm impressed with how well it works! It is still the case, though. Check your device instructions for voltage requirements before purchasing.
1) Make sure the device meets your country's voltage requirements. As far as my basic RING model is concerned, this fits within its guidelines. Check yours carefully, as it may be different. 2) In addition, mine needed to be air conditioned. Again, you want to make sure you're checking the requirements of your device model. 3) Make sure your battery is fully charged when you begin. When it is not, it will deplete quickly, and if a lot of motion activity is recorded, it will not be able to catch up, making it seem like the power supply (and my RING) were malfunctioning. The charging process took several days, fortunately, had patience and a few very quiet days with little motion activity, so eventually, it gained charge, but it took several days to fully charge and operate. It has stayed consistent at 100% once it reached full charge. I am very pleased with the results to date. No more battery charging that is as tedious as it is inaccessible and no more painful struggles with tiny, inaccessible screws on my ring unit. One power supply to do the job once and for all!
