One of them is completely unprotected against the elements. Over the last few months, we've had a couple of snowstorms and a lot of rain, and it's still working. There is no way to know. but.

I'm so happy because my mother, who recently lost my father (MOM 90), lives alone across the street from me, but I'm worried about her safety and what if she falls, so we bought this Wireless Doorbell Kit. It's amazing, it goes across the street and is VERY loud, she has the handheld device, and we have the chimes plugged into our wall in three rooms in case she needs to call us at any time of day or night,br>br> Couldn't.
In the tiny town of Washington, California, I own a small store with a house behind it. I have a door into the store, and the "Front door" to my house is around back. I now have a doorbell in front of the store that plays the "Lone Ranger" theme (which I labeled "Wake the Owners"), as well as a doorbell in the house that plays Sonata in G (which I labeled "Home Doorbell"). It plays in all three of my receiver's preset locations: 1) near the storefront door, 2) in the living quarters, and 3) in our downstairs bedroom, which is a little underground. They travel about 100 feet to the bedroom, passing through several walls and even a partial cement foundation (if line-of-sight is used). site). My only gripe is that the sound is tinny due to the low-cost speakers. br>By the way, you don't have to reprogramme the receivers if you unplug and move them. br>I'm thinking of taking a receiver down the street to an 800' bar and seeing if it works there as well.
After only 3 days, the system's basic functionality appears to be satisfactory. However, there is no printed list of the many rings, so if you want the individual sounding units to have a unique ring for each door (which I certainly do), you'll have to write them down one by one so you can find them again. It wasn't bad, but it was tedious and pointless. Second, the power prongs are almost in the middle, requiring the sounding unit to use a full double outlet (a second, very thin plug can be forced in, but most won't fit). This waste of an outlet could be avoided by moving them 1/2" up. Third, one of the sounding units was damaged and the wire was severed. Now that I have a small soldering station and can repair it, I realize that many people do not, so quality control seems to be a good idea.
I went with a model that only had one wireless receiver because it was less expensive. I enjoyed it, but I had a habit of forgetting to bring it in from the patio. I looked at and reviewed every doorbell kit on the market. This model was my choice, and I'm very happy with it. The plug-in receivers are small, have no advertising, and when the ringer is activated, the blue light illuminates. Setting up all three receivers with the same tune took less than five minutes. I never got around to listening to the entire playlist because I settled on a loud, long, and enjoyable easy listening waltz. One went upstairs, one went downstairs, and one went outside on the patio. The plug on the back of each unit takes up the entire wall outlet, as did all the others, but it's such a minor annoyance for such a brilliant invention.
We're still dealing with the ice in Texas. With the sticker included on our brick, we hung it up in the rain and snow and it has stayed up. It continues to function properly. It has a lot of different chimes for inside the house, which I like, and I also like that I can buy one or two receivers. It sounds great and it actually works!.
I purchased a set of three doorbells with two chimes, which serves me well. One building has two doors, while the other only has one. I set them all to different sounds so I can tell which door the bell is ringing at. It can be heard in both of the buildings, which are about 300 feet apart. The distance between them is 400 feet.
I believe the instructions are poorly written as a result of a translation issue. I was able to program two different chimes (front and side doors), with the sounds coming from two different receivers (in the living room and the bedroom/tv room). Mom is hard of hearing and finds the (highest) volume level to be adequate—it would probably be fine even if we turned it down one notch for her.
After removing the doorbell kit from the shipping package and opening the original package, I was surprised to find that all of the parts (wires, bells, transmitters) were loose and that the instructions were missing. While it was returned due to missing parts, I am concerned that a product that requires some technical skill to set up would not be shipped without instructions and with all of its parts loose in its original packaging (not the shipping box).
