Yes, you can do that. You would be better served by getting a power strip with more outlets, however if you wanted to daisy chain, then that would work, too
I am pretty sure mine will work even though it is plugged into an extension cord. This seems to be enough clearance for you to use the bottom outlet. Despite not having done it myself, I think it's a good idea.
There is no difference between this and any other extension. I plugged in three other extensions to this, and they all work

I had to send this adapter back within the first 24 hours of opening it because it became apparent really quickly that it had to be returned. With its design, it is able to face downward in a standard outlet, and it also provides 3 additional sockets, one of which has the third prong facing toward In other words, it makes no sense for any 3-foot wide object It butts against the wall, so it needs to have pronged cables. In addition to extending into the wall, the caps are angled, which makes it difficult to find cords that are comparable. There are a lot of dumb design flaws here. In addition, I can already see stress in the plastic after opening only one of the caps once, which makes me doubt they will last over time. That being said, it might still work for you, but be aware (or beware) as to how it will integrate into.
This product is not waterproof because the caps cannot close tightly.
My larger adapter plugs into my external drives in exactly the same way. I like how it hangs outward.
For creating outdoor light displays, this is a good option. I was able to snap the extra cover shut even though they aren't great. If I had used electrical tape, I could have covered it. While I'm sure I could have gotten him a little cheaper at Home Depot or Lowes, I buy Amazon Prime because it is convenient!.
