It won't be too hard for me to keep this cord since it's good for holiday lights and things like that and I have no trouble returning it.

It has been about 2 years since I purchased one of these extension cords. I went back for more because it lived up to my expectations. An outdoor outlet can be connected to it using this cable. Since it works to power up the outdoor fan under the deck and over the top of my patio, I have not encountered any problems with it. Having it at a convenient length ensures that things remain safe on the deck as people gather on it for barbecues and other social events. My dining room surge protector is located below my deck, along the railing, under my French doors, and under my deck. I was therefore quite pleased to run the extension cable under my deck, along the side of the deck rail, under my French doors, and into the surge protector. It is such a nice fit under my step leading from my dining room to the deck that there should be no problem with anyone tripping on.

We bought this a month ago, and one of the three outlets has already broken. It has been a good deal otherwise. Since we didn't test anything right away, I'm not sure if it came this way, but one of the outlets isn't wide enough for a plug to fit all the way in. It would be better if the outlets were further apart, but the cable seems sturdy, and I guess I'll have to deal with the defect since I can no longer return it. In addition, we have a second set of speakers that works seamlessly.

There is a ground on an extension cord. In order to charge our phones and have lamps on either side of our master bed, we needed power. As for safety, the ground should be on the cord so this is a good addition to the The plugs do seem a little on the loose side, so I would rather have more tension on my outlets to hold them in. Still, for stationary objects, this should be fine. I gave it one star only because the connections are loose (note that it isn't so loose that it is useless, but it will likely not hold tension as much as a new wall receptacle would).
