Questions & Answers

I'm curious about the cord's thickness because I'd like to get a cord grip for it at the same time. ?

No problem; look for a cord grip with a minimum cord diameter of 1/2 inch. Customer Servicebr>Affinity Goods, LLCbr>Best,br>Paulbr>Customer Servicebr>Affinity Goods, LLC

The cord is not UL listed, as stated in the description. Why?

The 10 ft cord is not UL listed, but the shorter cords are. UL may not test or certify 10 ft. cords. cords for the dryer If you're concerned about a fire hazard due to the lack of a UL listing, I'd recommend the 6 ft. cord.

Is it possible to swap out the three-prong cord for a four-prong one?

Yes. All you have to do now is unplug the old plug in the back and replace it with the color-coded wires. It takes about ten minutes, but it was relatively simple for me as someone who had no idea what I was doing when I started.

My dryer needs a 120/208 or 120/240 volt power cord, but our outlet only has a 125/250 volt outlet. Will this dryer suffice, or will we have to purchase a new one?

It's perfectly acceptable to have a blood pressure of 125/250.

It's very thick, and it works
5/5

This is a nice, thick, and heavy cord for dryer outlets that are newer than 240V. I connected it to a Whirlpool Cabrio dryer (model WED5500XW0), and it worked flawlessly. I clamped the included strain relief clamp in a place that kept the cord away from the sheet metal because there wasn't really anywhere else to put it. br>br>The cable itself is quite thick, with what appears to be 10 gauge wiring and a thick layer of rubber insulation on top. It has a substantial feel to it in the hands. 240V stoves will not work with this cord. br>br> The brand-new 4-in-1 Between stoves and dryers, prong receptacles are designed slightly differently.

It's fantastic, and it's a fraction of the price in department stores
5/5

I was one of those people who purchased a dryer without realizing that a power cable was also required. Home Depot and Lowe's are demanding ridiculously high prices for the items that irritated me. And, lo and behold, we've come up with a total of $12. 50! It arrived in perfect condition, and my son and I installed it with ease using a short YouTube video, and I'm getting ready to use it as a new dryer! I appreciate a good product at a good price. br>br>The cord is thick and sturdy, and the rubber tubing is very durable. It also included fasteners to secure the cable once it was installed.

The item "APPEARS" to be of high quality
4/5

The insulation has the appearance of being thick. The item "APPEARS" to be of high quality. The insulation gives the appearance of a thick gauge wire, which could be 8 or 10. The gauge and material (Cu or Al) of the wire have not been specified by the seller, despite the fact that the difference between 8 and 10 gauge wires is negligible. 676mm (3. 264- 588). Only skilled electricians are able to distinguish between the two. br>Apart from that, the product is satisfactory. It was simple to install the strain relief clamp. It took a bit of dexterity. Both the self tapping screws provided in the clamps must be driven in a mm or two before being unscrewed so that when you do the actual fitting, the threads are clean and a little wider, making it easier to start driving the screw in. After connecting everything, I installed this clamp. Place the ears of both clamps in the enclosure first. As a result, the screw will be inserted from above. Then only drive one screw in a mm or two to keep it in place. Now just a little more in the second. Simply push or wiggle the cable through it until the bare wires are free of the clamp, then tighten as needed.

The price and quality were both excellent in my opinion
5/5

I ran it through the factory clamp that was already in place. Lowe's charged $26 for the 6 foot. This 10 foot cord's price and quality were both excellent in my opinion. Instead of wasting time fitting the supplied clamp, I fed it through the existing factory clamp, so unlike some of the other reviews, I have no negative feelings about its quality. Make a suggestion: To make your new cord installation go faster and safer, take a photo of the old colored wiring connections.

The wire appears to be in good condition, but the relief clamp is a complete waste of money
3/5

Although the wire appears to be thick, it may simply be thick insulation. The relief clamp is a complete waste of money; they should have spent an extra ten cents on a better clamp and raised the price by ten cents. The inclusion of a shoddy clamp in the box makes me doubt the product's overall quality.

I didn't have to relocate an outlet because of this
5/5

I . I didn't have to relocate an outlet because of this. After purchasing a new washer and dryer, I decided to stack them on top of one another. The dryer was mounted on top of the unit, with the cord coming out the top. The dryer only came with a cord long enough to reach the box but not long enough to place the entire unit where I wanted it. Only the same size cord as the one that came with my dryer was available at local hardware stores. I was able to move the unit closer to the water hookups and build a cabinet area to help with washing supplies because it was less expensive than using a smaller cord.

With all dryers, 4 wire does not work right out of the bag
3/5

The external ground (green) wire is too short for some dryers with the ground mounted on the top section of the access panel, as other reviews have mentioned. To get the extra length needed to fit the factory grounding point, I had to cut the cord open. br>br>There's also some advice for the stress relief bracket, which I've noticed a lot of people are having trouble with. Before installing the bracket on the cord, hold it together in your hands and thread the screws into the smaller holes a few times; you'll have better leverage and the smaller holes will open up a little after tightening and loosening them a few times.

Good, but keep an eye out for different types of strain relief
4/5

The cable itself appears to be fine, well constructed, no issues with installation, and so far it is performing admirably; however, the strain relief, while similar to that found on many cables, is of poor quality and extremely poorly designed, and certainly did not fit my brand new LG, so I ended up using it with one wing inside/through the hole and the other wing outside, which is far from ideal. I'd like to see them come up with a more universal design. The product arrived quickly and in good condition.
