The first time I used it, it completely blew up. To replace this, I purchased the same breaker from a local hardware store, and it worked perfectly. I'm not sure if it was just bad luck on my part. However, for the one that was delivered to me, one star is excessively high.
As a replacement for our old circuit breaker that had failed, it has performed admirably. Please note that this model, the EATON CHF230, can be used in place of the CH230. The "F" simply denotes the presence of a flag indicating whether or not the circuit breaker has tripped.
Just what I needed to finish a project. No one in my area had these. I was able to locate them about 70 miles away, but they were only selling those two contractors, not civilians. I was able to obtain them at a reasonable price and with prompt delivery.
Fortunately, Amazon had this, allowing me to finish my project. There isn't much to say about the device itself; it fits and functions as it should.
It appears to be used and old, but returning and reordering is more trouble than continuing to use it. It's one of those situations where you value your time over the outcome.
This breaker was not in the possession of anyone. Delivery was very quick.
"Eaton CH type 20 amp dual pole circuit breaker (dual switch)" was the item that was ordered. Item received was an unbranded (probably low-cost) single pole(single switch) product from who knows where, with the incorrect type, amps, and voltage. I paid $27 for the Eaton, but instead received an unbranded, completely unrelated item from China that is probably worth $8-$10. It has to be less than $10. It's obvious that this is a swindle. This seller should not be purchased from.
Easy to install at a great price.
