The thermal fuse on an oil filled heater was blown when I replaced it with this. I highly recommend it for this purpose. If you want to calculate the wattage, you can do so as follows An electric current of 15 amps at 120 volts equals 1800 watts. Ten amps at 250 volts equals two thousand five hundred watts. If this is okay for your application, then go ahead and use it.

I was very pleased with how well this solution worked. There were no problems with the order and it was delivered quickly.
