Power is turned off. Remove the screw from the end of the old ballast and slide it out of the mounting slot, cutting the existing wires near the old ballast in the process. Orient the new ballast so that the wires can be routed in the most efficient way possible. Replace the screw in the other end of the new ballast after sliding one end of it into the slot. Strip about 34/4 inch of insulation from each wire, match wire colors on ballast to colors on fixture, and attach wires with (yellow) wire nuts. It does not matter which fixture wire is connected to which ballast wire as long as red wires are connected to red wires and yellow wires are connected to yellow wires. Etc.
My experience was similar to yours. It was very successful.
All of the specifications are identical. I'm also not sure what the E stands for.

That's not so difficult! This is the third time I've had to replace a ballast! It's a lot less money than buying a new light assembly! The light was still attached to the ceiling when I installed this one! On the new Ballast, the wires were plenty long! One thing to keep in mind is. Slide a stiff probe wire in the area just below the current wire to remove the old wires from the tube connectors! This is not always easy, but it will work! What's going on here? The latch is released after you push it away from the current wire! Pull on the new wire as you insert it to ensure that it does not come out! If it pulls away, re-tighten it. firmly press it in! It's possible that more insulation will need to be removed so that the wire socket can be inserted further! I hope this information is useful.
When the light was turned on, the old ballast made a static or buzzing sound on the baby monitor. This ballast completely removed the noise, allowing us to hear clearly on the monitor once more. The new ballast appears to be rated "Residential," whereas the previous ballast was rated "Commercial. " There must be something to it, because the problem has been resolved.
br> One of my friends suggested that I just replace the ballast. After watching a few YouTube videos, I decided to try it out. and it was successful! br> This was also the first time I'd ever seen a ballast. br> $20 vs $160 THANK YOU AMAZON!.
However, it functions well and comes with plenty of wire, and it was a breeze to set up this Electronic Ballast.
We had a lot of flexibility with the wires because they were so long. Our previous ballast had wires on both ends, but this one only had one, which was fine because the wires were long enough to compensate. It doesn't appear to have come with screws, so keep your old ones on hand just in case. It's fantastic. It's only been in place for a month, but I expect it to last. If it doesn't, I'll post a new comment. I'm glad we didn't have to replace the entire light because it works great.
The wires are the same color and are mounted in the same holes. To connect the wires, simply splice them together by color and use wire nuts. Although this is the slim model, other reviewers have stated that there is no quality difference or other issue. I made a video on youtube that you can find by searching for "how to in a few minutes. ".
It was simple to replace the ballast. Clipping the 8 color-coded wires, replacing the defective ballast with the new ballast, removing the insulation to expose the wires, and connecting the wires with wire connectors from Amazon was about as easy as it gets. Before it was turned on and tested, the T8 light tubes were inserted to complete the repair. There is now enough light to replace the plastic "bulb cover" in its original location. Another successful DIY project is finished with some cleanup and the addition of a few hand tools!.
Ordered 2 ballasts, paid for new ones, and received used ones that did not fully function, you can see where the ends are bentscratches in the side, first one lit outer 2 bulbs only, 2 ND one same with a constant buzz, very irritated!.
