Questions & Answers

How do I install this and replace my existing T9 32w and 40w ballast?

Remove the associated fuse or open the breaker at the main switch box to turn off the power to your light fixture. Then disconnect the sockets from the two lamps, disconnect the two power leads (usually black and white wires), and remove the two screws that hold it to the light fixture to remove the old ballast. A pair of black and white leads are connected to the new ballast. Connect the black to the incoming black power wire and the white to the white wire, then screw the new ballast into place with the same two screws that held the old ballast in place. Finally, the new ballast has two wire bundles with sockets on their ends. One socket should be connected to one lamp, while the other socket should be connected to the other lamp. It makes no difference which socket is connected to which lamp (see the small print on the new ballast). That ought to be sufficient. Now re- Connect the light fixture to the circuit breaker or fuse box and turn it on. I hope this has been of assistance.

22 are listed in the item description. I'm not sure how to choose the 32nd option. ?

Simply connect the higher-wattage lamp to the right side of the ballast. a 40W light bulb The instructions are printed on the label.

Can I connect the wires from the 22 watt side to the 32 watt side without using a load resistor if my light only uses the 32 watt t9 bulb?

The wires would not be spliced in my opinion. If you only connect one bulb, the other connector should not draw any power, resulting in a short circuit and likely burning out the ballast. Wrap the unused connector in tape to keep it from coming into contact with the contacts. One bulb had burned out, while the other continued to burn. If you haven't already done so, take a look at the Sunlite 40110- 1 Lamp F16T9 or F12T9 Fluorescent Circline Ballast, 120-Volt SU SB132C120 SU SB132C120 SU SB132C120 SU SB132C120 SU SB132C120 SU SB132C120 SU SB It's for a single Circline bulb that's either 32 or 40 watts.

KTEB- was my old ballast number. 2C72- TP/E. Is it possible to use this unit for two people? Tubes that are 48 inches in length? or just circline? Thank you. ?

KTEB- Donna is a Keystone ballast. 2C72- Because WS stands for "with socket," TP is available, while WS is for the circline. If you can locate the part number you mentioned, that should suffice. Please let me know if you require any assistance in locating it. It's possible that I'll be able to list it on Amazon and make it available there.

These ballasts are unlikely to be found in your local lumberyard or home improvement store
5/5

I just put one in a circular fluorescent light fixture with a 12" (32 watt) inner circline tube and a 16" (40 watt) outer circline tube. Because this ballast had slightly different dimensions than the oddball Chinese ballast that was originally in the fixture, I had to drill two new holes and secure the ballast to the fixture with self tapping sheet metal screws. That took a lot less time than explaining it here. It would be nice if Keystone included a couple of self-tapping sheet metal screws and a brief set of instructions with the ballast; it is pretty self-evident what you need to do, but it would be nice. After installation, I turned on the breaker and the light switch, and both tubes lit up immediately. The room is light and airy. I looked in local lumber yards and do-it-yourself stores for ballasts like these, but they didn't have any. I'm grateful to Amazon for doing this. I just placed an order for another one to keep as a backup.

I'm very pleased! One of our laundry room's three circline fixtures had a bad ballast, and it was driving us crazy
5/5

I even went to a big box store to look for LED replacement fixtures, but their combined output didn't even come close to matching that of one of the circlines (about 4000 lumens - BRIGHT! Because we don't use these lights very often, purchasing new fixtures, installing them, and repainting the ceiling would have taken a long time. if ever - period of repayment, with no profit I paid less than $25 for three of these replacement ballasts and had a professional electrician install one in each fixture. Result - WOW . Everything was instantly brighter than it had been. There was no buzzing or flickering when the light was turned on; it was just pure cool white light. It was a wise investment. PS: The manufacture date on all old Magnetek ballasts was 9/1990 - 1990. 1991 when it was installed. It's not bad to have one of them going strong after almost 25 years of service. UPDATED AFTER A TWO-YEAR PERIOD I HAVE NOT HAD TO REPLACE TUBES SINCE INSTALLING THESE BALLASTS - AFTER LESS THAN A YEAR, THE OLD BALLASTS ATE THEM UP.

It's fantastic! After only six years, I never would have guessed that my flush mount ceiling light would have a bad ballast
5/5

The replacement part was a perfect fit, and the light turned on right away. I had new tubes, of course, because that was the first thing I looked for when the light stopped working. When those failed, I checked the ceiling box for voltage. That was a good one. Last but not least, there was the ballast, which I purchased. A philips screwdriver was the only thing I needed. br>The smaller or larger tube can be connected to either plug. The fine print, which requires a magnifying glass to read, confirms this. I've got a 12" round and an 8" square. Tubes are 25 inches in diameter.

Customer who is happy with the service
4/5

I double-checked the dimensions of this ballast to make sure it would fit in my Circline ceiling fixture before ordering it. My Circline fixture has 32W and 22W tubes, and they work fine, but I don't believe it was intended for this use. I could only use a single screw to secure it to the spot where the ground lead was connected to the old all-in-one. It doesn't need any other mounting screws because the single screw holds it in place and grounds the ballast at the same time. br>br>If it lasts longer than the old ballast (3 years), I'll upgrade my rating to five stars. It works perfectly and is exactly as described in the listing.

By replacing the light bulb in my kitchen, I was able to save money
5/5

My kitchen light had died, and the problem was with the ballast; a new light would have cost over $100, not to mention the time it would have taken to install it. The local stores didn't have a replacement ballast, and the one that did had an empty shelf with the price tag, but it would have cost slightly more if I had waited. Though the new model appears to be a different shape than when I bought it, it worked once I put it where it would fit inside the light enclosure and drilled new holes, and though the wires were not as long as the original, it worked once I put it where it would fit inside the light enclosure and drilled new holes. Because the bulbs are side by side in a long oval shape, a longer one would have been better for the light I have. However, I received the more compact design, which is designed for fixtures with one ring inside the other, and it worked fine.

Kohler Colibri mirror is compatible with this product
5/5

Without modifying my Kohler Colibri mirror, I replaced the 20-year-old magnetic ballast. The Keystone Ballast is a little smaller and a little lighter than the standard ballast. Unlike the magnetic ballast it replaced, this one is completely silent. The mounting tabs aligned well enough for the factory hardware to secure them, making installation a breeze. The 22 is energized by the lack of flickering and inductive hum. T9's with a power output of 32 watts are nearly instantaneous.

It worked out fine
3/5

I was working on a circline ceiling fixture and needed to replace the ballast. This was effective, but I had to work it into my schedule; That isn't a flaw with the product, and it does fit snugly into the 12" circle. br>br>However, I'd like to point out that the part I received appeared to be a bit shop-worn. Possibly used/pulled from somewhere and worn. It was a little oily/dusty and had a few surface scratches. I'm not sure; it could have been on a shelf in a big warehouse or something. Again: It performed admirably, and the cost was extremely reasonable.

It took some drilling to get it to fit properly, but it appears to be working fine
5/5

This was installed in the kitchen to replace a circular fluorescent light fixture. It had two circular bulbs that were 8" and 12" in diameter. The existing ballast was in the shape of a square with rounded corners. This ballast had a more elongated rectangle shape to it. It only just fit inside the 8" bulb on the inside. To screw it in place, I had to drill four new holes, which was not difficult, and it appears to work well. Only time will tell if this is true. The current ballast was an OEM replacement for the original ballast, and it lasted about four years. This one, hopefully, will last a little longer. Why not replace your light bulb with an LED? My wife really likes the current fixture, so we had to figure out a way to keep it.
