Working is just what it is
5/5

was able to connect it to my Aeotec hub using a Raspberry Pi running Home Assistant without hassle. There are no issues with Home Assistant determining what the device is, what its name is, or how to get it to react appropriately For your information There is no ground in my house since it has two wires of AC. Obviously it works just fine. It's so good that I bought a second one since I can see it on the wall switch from my desk, so I can use it as a visual alarm for when the motion detector in the backyard turns on. Plugging it into the automation script was all I needed to do. The plug has a green glow when activated, which is indicated by a colored outline. A drawback of this model is that it is bulky and covers the second outlet.

The wave integration was flawless, and the usage metrics were surprisingly useful and interesting

The Z-series has been my favorite for a long time Wave your hand to the wall I have used "Wart" switches for temporary items like Christmas Tree lights in the past. I decided to try out a new brand because it was so easy to add to my HomeSeer system. The best part is that it keeps track of how much electricity each device As shown in the attached picture, my LED greenhouse panels have used approximately 880 watts since midnight when the value was automatically reset by HS. The attached graph also shows the actual number of watts that the three enormous panels are drawing from the power grid (the I feel more comfortable using it for a heavy load like a grow-light, since it is rated for 15 amps The LED arrays are mounted on panels. When it is on, it is stylish with rounded corners, and has the option to show three different colors or none at all. As you see in these walls There is a need for plugs to be thick enough to enclose the entire length of the plug from the appliance itself, and not crack if the plug cord gets tripped on or tugged, so claiming that it is rated by stars depends on its thickness. In my opinion, 5 stars could have been earned by keeping the wall no thicker beyond that fundamental requirement, but I choose 4 stars because it could have been a little thinner and a little taller and wider, if the wall were simply made to be wider and taller. The pattern for the warts was to take up half of the wall plate so that it could be as thin as possible given the requirements for structural strength. How would one rate sheerness? I have no idea what one would rate it. These, however, appeal to me. This past weekend, Amazon had them on a special, and I'll be watching closely for it I would recommend this purchase.

You might not realize how bigger the problem is
5/5

The system works great, though. I was able to pair up the device immediately with my home automation system (HVAC plus OpenZwave beta configuration). It is still quite large, and given the way it is designed, if you have a dual outlet receptacle, it would have to go in the upper outlet, otherwise if you put it in the lower, it would interfere with the upper outlet. In addition, if you have a receptacle with USB capabilities, don't even think you will be able to use a USB plug. Otherwise, it works ok. This LED flashlight has very flexible features when it comes to adjusting the features and reporting the power consumption.

It is a great tool for controlling and measuring power use
5/5

You can check out the Recently, I completed a project in which I slaved a ceiling fan to my AC blower unit in order to have it run whenever the AC was operating to improve air circulation in the home. Using the SmartThings Hub Gen3, the Aeotech SmartSwitch 6, and the Leviton Zwave Smart Light Switch (relay), I controlled a total of four devices. It was easy to integrate all components, and we set up automation logic and events without any difficulty. The Samsung community IDE also provided me with the ability to use device handlers developed by the community that allowed me to change the reporting interval of the Smart Switch from six to ten Having tested this system, I would recommend these components for any type of application that uses these types of components.

devices, but 2 of 8 were unreachable or required technical support and excessive user time to resolve
3/5

In order to connect my new Smart Switch 6 to my Samsung Hub using the SmartThings App, I connected it to it from three distances. There was a distance of 4 feet between the two points. Upon launching the SmartThings App, I saw that the hub did not recognize the device, and when I followed the "Get Help" message, it attempted to put hub in exclusion mode, but did not follow the available menus. The first Aeotec TriSensor I had required me to return the device and wait for a replacement to arrive. As well as the new device, this failed to function. Initially, Aerotec provided a software driver that allowed it to work intermittently, but eventually it was able to run They are working hard to fix what they can and I cannot say how much of the Smart Switch 6 issue is due to its Samsung Hub. I gave them three stars because they are trying hard to set things right. It is my hope that Smart Switch 6 support will soon resolve this issue. I will update this when this is resolved. There is no human voice on the Aeotec support line. Instead, you need to fill out a short form to request help and they will contact you within 72 hours. Here's an update. In other words, my Smart Switch 6 is easy to connect to a Samsung V2 Hub, so the issue is probably a compatibility issue between my device and the Samsung V3 Samsung is the next company to call.
