Old broken pins are not drilled out, just take needle nose pliers and remove the old one, if you have trouble getting your hands on the old one, use a small flat head and wedge it until enough material is available to grab, I hope this was helpful

Don't be afraid to bend. Third of them try to install, but I discard them. Better quality is the way to go.
