There are no original fasteners because they have all deteriorated and broken. In this case, the bulk of the problems arose from the house being brick and the fasteners being drilled into They had to be removed since they broke off flush with the wall. In order to drill out the plastic fasteners still in the holes, I used a 3/16" regular drill bit. There will be a need for more than 2 drill bits when you hit masonry, since they become dull quickly. There were some fasteners left behind when the fastener was removed. Once the remaining pieces were out, I used a dental pick to remove them. A can of compressed air was used to blow out every hole. After tapping halfway in, place one of the new fasteners in the hole at the bottom of the shutter, align it with the hole in the mortar, and then put the other one in the same position. Once these fasteners were in place, I went to the top of the shutter and installed My first step was to locate both fasteners in the holes and then to push them all the way into the hole. In the case of the remaining four, it is the same. You need to take your time and make sure you do it right it doesn't have to be complicated. I had no problems with the fasteners. The shutters are easy to install and I'd recommend them to anyone who needs to replace or mount.

The burgundy shutter pegs that I needed to restore my shutter to the brick front of my house were just what I ordered at a good price

One of my shutters blew off during a storm, and I needed them to replace it. I didn't want to paint the pegs all of the pegs, so I only chose green and black from the nearest hardware store. 1) I found several brands on Amazon at varied price points. E- was my choice after reading a few reviews There are three Zshop4U shutter pegs in 3". Twelve dollars got you 16 of them. It was a pleasure to work with them and neither the color nor the quality were an issue. In my case, I installed the shutter on bricks A rubber mallet was used to tap the actual pegs into the brick mortar.
