Despite the fact that they were half an inch longer than the ones I had (3"), they worked fine for me

One of my shutters was ripped off by a small tornado. As a result of the replacement pins being longer, the holes had to be drilled a bit deeper. It worked well for me, and no problems arose while using it. (It was quite a feat to get the ladder up on such steep ground. (I'd like to refrain from going into great detail here because I do not want to bore you. ))

They seem to be working.

Flimsy enough to be of no use

With these Lifetime Vinyl Shutters, you can stay stylish for a lifetime There are many similarities between Loks and the original fasteners used 12 years ago when the house was new. A plastic's strength decreases with age and it I just don't think these replacement fasteners are sturdy enough. Inserting them into a 1/4" hole was my goal. They haven't been able to be used by me.

A windstorm had taken one of my shutters off after 26 years, so these were just the thing I needed to replace it You need to drill out the damaged shutter spike and replace it with the new one before mounting the shutter. It was at times a little dark, but I think that was due to the fading old shutters.

The cards were a little softer than I expected and not as rigid as I thought they would be. The hole you need to make must be big enough for the screws to drive in well, and they will not hammer in very well even if the hole is.

I ordered several packages and they match perfectly with my shutters. My shutters snapped off the screws and I thought I would have to purchase all new ones, but these screws fit perfectly into their place.

Buying online is much cheaper than purchasing from a big box store. I didn't notice anything special about this. I expected the color to match the shudders. During heavy winds, there were no issues with the motor shutters falling off. I found these at a cheaper price than those at Home Depot or Lowe's.
