I'm not sure about the shelf life, but I've ordered over 20 tubes from Amazon and they've all arrived directly from Huber with no issues. br>However, I will say that this is an excellent product, one of the best I've ever used, and if I had to do it all over again, I would use caulking instead of tape.

Good product, but Amazon's packaging is HORRIBLE. Over $900 in zip flashing has been crammed into two flimsy boxes. Damaged.
Liquid- The flash option outperforms the tape/roller option by a large margin. Recognize that the next step in efficient building technology is an airtight envelope! Re-evaluation was made. New 4 x 8 LP Smartside panels have been installed on the side of my garage. Existing siding is 4 x 8 plywood paneling that is in rough shape and needs to be painted. Although wise, he is still a rock solid performer. There were a few places where the old paneling was below grade and had been harmed by moisture. In other words, the inch of siding that extends beyond the slab. Because I didn't want to remove all of the old paneling, I decided to simply replace it. With a rotating tool, I trimmed out the bad spots before sealing and flashing the old paneling. I purchased a sausage gun and angled tips from Amazon. I was blown away by how much easier sausage guns are to use than traditional caulking guns, and I saw a YouTube video of a guy using a similar product called Procoso R-Flex. Fast Flash should be avoided at all costs. I didn't like how pink/red it was. I was about to purchase them from Amazon when I noticed this as a recommended product, and I like the fact that it's black, especially since the bottom of it will be visible on the slab that is exposed and above grade around my garage in my case. I leveled the ground around the garage and then used light green 3m Rough masking tape about an inch below the old panel to pull it out and get a straight line when I was finished. It was a great success. This stuff sticks to pretty much everything. I placed a bead on the panel's underside lip as well as the panel's very bottom face (approximately 1. 5 inch), as well as the slab beneath the overhanging panel that is exposed. Then, similar to the video I watched for the other product, I spread it out with a chip brush, creating a painted-on Z flashing. Things stick to each other a lot. Wear a lot of nitrile gloves. And dress in shabby old clothes. br>br>I painted one side of the garage at a time; the paint starts to peel off after an hour, but it's still tacky, and you can keep painting if you want. I pulled the tape at the bottom once I finished painting a full side of the garage and it had started to peel off. After the tape has dried, it feels like a tacky rubber, and the flash falls back into place with a relatively clean line. br>br>I'm glad I was able to come up with a solution for flashing the bottom sill in my unique situation on an old garage where the mud sill is directly on the slab. It is by far the easiest way to flash a window or door opening and get a 100% air and water tight seal. Also useful for sealing any difficult penetrations through the sheathing of your walls. Huber Zip flashing tape is not required. br>Make sure you have a plastic bondo spreader or something similar on hand, as well as gloves and, of course, a sausage tube caulk gun and tips. br>As a point of reference, a typical window will take two hours to complete. To flash the whole thing, you'll need three tubes. br>I've discovered that flashing the sill with this and 12in up each jamb before switching to the Zip tape is more efficient.
