Black is the predominant color.
Hello,br>br>The flashlight tape has only one side that is sticky.
Although the tape is flexible, working with it can be difficult. The corners of it have a tendency to wrinkle or lump. I've gone with Zip System flashing tape because it's more flexible and seals the corners better.
No, it isn't split, but peeling the backing off, even with gloves on, isn't difficult in my opinion.

This is the genuine article. Before removing the backing piece, double-check that this tape is in the exact location you want it. It is possible to remove it from plywood, but it will pull up a lot of fibers in the process. It sticks to itself and is nearly impossible to separate, making it ideal for securing flashing around windows.
It's built to last. It's easy to cut with a utility knife, but it's very sticky. There were no adhesive issues, and I didn't cover it for a month. After a month, we only had to relegate a few positions. It was expected because it was a half-inch after a 90-degree turn. This is a product I would strongly recommend.
I recently installed 30 windows and 2 doors with this product, and it performed admirably even in temperatures as low as 20 degrees Fahrenheit. br>Not cheap, but neither is the cost of repairing a leaking window later. br>I recommend this product for pan flashing along with Dupont flex wrap, even though the flex wrap does not stick as well in cold weather without the use of a heat gun.
We did the roof ourselves, and it took a few weeks to get the metal roof on, with snow, rain, and wind in the interim. It did a fantastic job of keeping the roof safe.
The rubber can't be stretched around corners because of the foil - it's a good product. br> bonding with rubber.
At a reasonable price, this is an excellent tape.
It's perfect for installing Marvin windows.
