Questions & Answers

What is the purpose of the protective layer? Not the one that you can peel off. Is it polyurethane or something else?

The flashing I bought does not have a protective coating.

Is this something that comes from China?

This item is manufactured in the United States of America.

Is this something that can be used on a clay tile roof that won't bend?

Using pliers, you can easily bend copper. You should be able to mold the copper to the tile's shape.

Is there a way to solder this together?

With a soldering iron/gun, it would be impossible to get a point hot enough to accept solder because copper is an excellent heat conductor. A propane torch, on the other hand, could be used to sufficiently heat an area for soldering. Make sure to use a flux compound to get the liquid solder to 'wet' the copper flashing surface. The easiest areas to solder are an edge or a corner.

anti- Copper's antibacterial properties are ideal
5/5

I was surprised to find that this copper flashing is much thicker and more workable than I had anticipated! It's very shiny, and tin snips cut it easily. br>I'm using it as a preventative measure. For a variety of woodworking projects, there is a bacterial surface available. br>The copper on my beehives' roofs also prevents algae and moss from growing on the north side of my equipment. br>It kills a lot of bacteria and lasts a long time, much longer than I will. As it ages, it develops a dark patina, then a green patina. br>I'm blown away, and I highly recommend this to anyone looking to add copper accents to their woodworking projects and improve the overall quality of their work. Yes, I believe it is also effective on roofs. br>Don't forget to get the copper nails, because copper has a bi-metallic effect. Other metals may rust or corrode prematurely as a result of the metallic exchange. The combination of copper nails and copper flashing is ideal.

Money well spent
5/5

It was used to complete the edge of our counter. It goes well with our copper sink and helps to bring the room together. We have slate flooring, and we're excited to see how it patinas and takes on a variety of colors. br>br>It's best to flatten it out before using it because it comes coiled and will naturally coil back up when you use it. br>br>Easy to drill through, and it's a long piece. We couldn't find it in our local big box stores without spending an arm and a leg and buying more than we needed; Only 7 feet of the 10 foot roll were required. If you need smaller pieces, snips cut through it nicely and leave a clean edge.

Beautiful Copper of Superior Quality My copper flashing roll arrived in a timely manner, and the product itself was of excellent quality
5/5

Beautifully crafted copper will be the perfect accent for my indoor kitchen. a set of pieces Because this copper is so gleaming, I had to wear a glove to keep my fingers from scratching it. The protective plastic film that comes on one side is a nice touch that is also easy to remove. I will definitely buy from you again.

The protective covering on the product's surface is a nice feature that helps prevent damage during use
5/5

It was especially useful when bending it with a brake. preventing the surface from being scratched or marred by the brake The covering came off easily and didn't leave any residue on the copper. For my irregularly shaped log porch posts, I used this product to make jack wraps. This product's gauge/thickness was ideal for the job. I would tell my friends and family about this product.

Everything went according to plan
5/5

Copper that has been well wrapped and protected. These rolls are perfect; I've bought them twice before and use them to cap deck handrails. Copper has a stunning look to it. Even after the tarnishing has occurred. Makes our work stand out from the competitionbr>Mike.

Copper is a lovely color
5/5

It's very nice, and it's been well-protected and packaged. With a water-resistant caulk, used as an edging along stone in a water feature. A patina is something I'm hoping for.

Excellent craftsmanship
5/5

For crafting, it's heavy but not too heavy. To cut it, you'll need to order a scroll saw from Amazon. It arrived in perfect condition, wrapped in plastic.
