Questions & Answers

Can this product be used with TruWood siding 1/2" thick?

It can attach any kind of lap siding (including bevels) up to 5/8" thick, and extensions can be added for siding up to 12".

Do you think my cemplank fiber cement board that is 6 1/4 inches wide and shows a 3 inch reveal will work with Solosider Pro?

You will be able to fold down the reveal to three inches with the Pro, but you will not be able to use the flipper assembly. We will need to provide you with an additional top. You can contact us through Amazon "contact seller" for more information.

How about an 11 inch reveal with this?

A web page is available (on the web page) with extensions for 12" siding. In other words, so. Although you could do an 11-inch reveal, if your siding is 12 inches, you would only have a 1-inch overlap, so you should check what the code is.

The design and product of these gauges are terrific
5/5

I cannot say enough good things about them. This gauge will handle everything wrong with other gauges they will hang on to the siding, they will hold up the next piece, they will survive drops, they will fix everything wrong with other Because I am siding with only my wife to help me, I didn't want to be stressful on the scaffold because I was annoyed with the gauges, and decided the extra few dollars are worth not having to sleep alone afterwards after screaming at my wife over the brand x gauges. Despite being adjustable in every way, these gauges hang flat and stay fixed to the siding nicely. As well as being forgiving, the adjustments are also sympathetic. The one thing about the tool that is not great is that you are able to adjust the plank thickness and clamp force so easily. You should have to exert a little bit of effort to adjust them, but they turn so easily you accidentally adjust them. As long as you check them every once in awhile to make sure they are not too loose, they still work fine because they are forgiving. Despite the fact that there were no reviews here when I bought them, and the packaging was non-existent, they appear to be a brand new design. Although mine were probably a small trial batch, these should be sold everywhere, because they are an excellent product.
These can be more expensive than more common gauges, but they are so good, I would say they are well worth the price.

The same as having a helper, except that they don't have a bad breath
5/5

In my spare time, I am putting Hardie Plank siding on my house. Generally, I do not have much help available, so these contraptions have become invaluable. The clamps work very well, and after a couple of hours of use, I have been able to move them, adjust them, manipulate them, etc. , one-handed, enabling me to tightly side the house all alone. By observing these clamps for what they are, we see they are more than your typical pipe clamp. If you do, you'll find out that they're outrageously You can do most of these things with them if you think about it Take charge of your own learning Compared to what they charge for them, these are worth a lot more. It is possible to adjust the "siding overlap dimension" for each clamp individually. Those steps are not smooth, and I believe they are intended not to be adjusted a lot in practice. I believe they are incremented (about 1/32") for that reason. During the initial siding installation, the clamps will need to be adjusted only once the first row of siding is put in place and absolutely level. My clamps have put me in the position of being able to "regain level" on subsequent courses of siding, where I have had this kind of control over the quality of my work under special circumstances. It is indeed a great tool. Moreover, the clamps rarely have an attitude, show up late to work, or ask for It is decided to hire them.

Worked great for me
5/5

I like the way they work. One set was bought on the first day, and a second one was ordered on the same As I had initially thought it would be solo as one of the guys was only going to work part time, I got lucky and found another one, but it was definitely worth the money I invested in it. Concrete will break them if they come into contact with it. It works fine once the glue piece has been reattached.

I save a lot of time and avoid frustration with this! Using this tool, you won't have to worry about it slipping
5/5

A 5/16 Hardie siding was installed with this product. In this case, there were only issues with the technical description which neglected to address "spacers," however, there are now videos available for this specific I was pleased with the results after I figured out the spacers and how to set the "flipper.
