WALK MAKERS IN THE EUROPEAN BLOCK
It's a plastic mold that can be used again and again.
Fill the mold to the brim with 80 pounds of concrete. Remove the mold with a trowel and a bag of concrete mix (1-80lb bag fills 1 mold).
Fiber-reinforced concrete from Quikrete is a good choice.
The Walk Maker building forms are reusable plastic molds that can be used to create patterned walks, paths, patios, and other structures.

Questions & Answers

Is it possible to pour the concrete mix directly on top of a weed barrier?

Without a doubt. I tried it over a weed barrier first, then without it. It settled in the same place and had the same color. I wish I could send you some pictures because this was fantastic and came out beautifully. I was a first-timer, so I only suggest renting a mixer. It was difficult to do a 10x10 and a 10x25 with this, and it would have gone much faster and easier if I had simply rented a mixer from Home Depot for $50. If you have any additional questions, please let me know.

I have a plain concrete driveway; could I use this to create a design by pouring it over the existing driveway? Ergo: What is a vehicle's weight?

If you're pouring these on top of a presumably 3-layer cake, I'm sure it's a very different scenario. Rebar-reinforced driveway or plain ground (sand, plastic, gravel, etc.). In any case, stamping appears to be a much safer option if the goal is to support the weight of a vehicle. Perhaps 4 20" lengths of rebar to reinforce each mold, propped up so that at least 1/2 or 3/4" of concrete can get under them to better frame out the mold.

Has anyone used the quickrete liquid cement color to create different colors in each section? Was it difficult to keep the colors separate if that was the case?

I didn't use different colors in different sections, but we did lay down about 40 squares of plain cement and stained them afterwards, which looks fantastic and makes everyone think it's professional stamped concrete. We stain in three different colors (brown, rust, and black). tan) - I diluted and mixed the stain, then stained squares/sections one at a time, layering and mixing until the overall effect was muted. It was a lot of hard work, but it was well worth it in the end.

Mario Martinez, if you're reading this, could you please tell me how you came up with your final look?

Mario Martinez will be the one to answer this question. What kind of stain did you use to color your concrete paver? What colors did you use, and how did you go about doing it? I adore the pavers you created! T. br>br>Sincerely,br>T. br>br>Sincerely,br>T. br>br>Sincerely Hall

After conducting extensive research, I have come to the following conclusions:
- No sand/gravel base is required; however, the surface must be level, pitch, and compact. br>- 1 mold of concrete = One 80-pound bag will suffice. br>2 molds - Quikrete Pro-Mix = water per bag crack-resistant finish = 4 per 80 pound bag, 5 quarts of waterbr>- 1/2 bottle of my preferred coloring per one gallon of water a bag weighing 80 poundsbr> between the lines - To achieve the gray color, I'll add sand to the mix. 10 bags were assigned to 336 square feet of space. br> Using water and WD-40, remove the mold. 40 after every four moldsbr>br>It's a lot of work, but the savings are well worth it. I'm building a 24x14 patio and it's going to be very inexpensive. br> Approximately 65 bags are expected. There's a chance I'll need a couple more bags. We'll find out soon enough. br>Process video: br>.

I'm extremely happy with my purchase

I looked into a few different options for covering a 16x16 outdoor space and ultimately chose this option. It took a lot of time and effort, but I am very pleased with the end result.

This is the ideal mold for a beautiful walkway! This walk maker mold was perfect for laying down a sidewalk in front of my house
5/5

This product is ideal in terms of price and application. br>br>The only thing I would suggest is that you disregard the warning label on the packaging that says "remove immediately for a perfect form. " " When you take it off, it looks great, but the edges become too soft. It appears that leaving the mold in place while mixing the next bag of concrete and then removing it when ready to pour is the best way to keep the fit and avoid it moving on you.

Don't be fooled by the beautiful appearance of our patio
4/5

Our patio turned out beautifully, but don't be fooled; it's a labor-intensive project that took us the entire weekend to complete. The pattern is very obvious if the cracks aren't filled in with sand, but we added polymeric sand and received many compliments. When we pulled the mold up, the concrete stuck to the corners and dried into really sharp little edges, which took a long time to fix. Maybe our mix was too wet? I used an angle grinder to smooth them all out after they dried, but if you can find a way to smooth them out when they dry, you'll save yourself hours. One more suggestion: Before you lay them down, make sure the surface is completely flat. This wouldn't have been an issue if we were going for a cobblestone look, but our surface was a little wavy, which shows up in the patio, but it was still very manageable and looks fantastic. Throughout the season, it has held up well. We had two people lay the patio (we only needed one of the molds because you don't have to hold it in place for very long), and one person mix (you'll be kneeling or crouching for a while). We rented a mixer, which I believe was a wise decision.

It's simple to use, and the results are fantastic
5/5

When I came across the Walk Maker, I had been searching for hours for the perfect item to replace some existing pavers. I bought it and started working right away. I finished the area (16 sets) in 6 hours and can't say enough about how simple and improved this look is. When I was placing the stones, I rotated each frame once to ensure that no two stones were placed next to each other. For the time being, I decided not to color the concrete mix and will go over it with concrete dye after it has cured. I bought two stencils to aid in the progress and in case one broke, which it didn't. As you can see, the stones have already begun to cure, resulting in light grey everywhere. I highly recommend these and intend to use them again in the near future.

I really like it
5/5

We decided to purchase our own cement mixer rather than renting one because it was less expensive. Purchase a four-wheel cart with a large hauling capacity for transporting both bags and ready-mix concrete. Our backs and muscles were saved for the long haul as a result of this. I recommend placing an order for two people: two people to lay the forms and one person to pour the concrete. People tend to get in the way when there are more of them. Instead of waiting 5 minutes for the concrete to set, pour it a little thicker so you can shape and pull it. One person should go north-south and the other should go east-west; do not try to connect or link them; they are designed to pour like pavers. To connect them, we used paver base pads from Brock. At $13 per piece, they're pricey, but they'll pay off in the long run. Our strategy is to rough it up and then wait for it to cure. After that, we'll acid stain it, seal it, and fill in the cracks with paver sand that hardens. Make sure you have a good small square trowel that will fit in between the plastic pieces. Before removing the form, trowel it to make it as smooth as possible. After an hour, lightly broom the squares for texture.

This is one of my favorite forms
5/5

So far, I've used this to lay 55 squares. Believe me when I say that it's a process. However, I am very pleased with the end result. Other people's results may have been better because they used smooth concrete. I began with the 80lb quikcrete high strength. It does, however, contain a significant amount of rock. As a result, I'm sure there's more strength. As a result, I had to make it wetter in order to work with it more effectively. and leave the square to sit for an extended period of time However, because I began with it, I simply continued to use it. So far, I think the patio is fantastic. I also purchased some masonry grinderer discs, which I will use to smooth out any rough edges before grouting. Also, I chose this one because the tabs underneath allow the concrete to run into all of the other squares, resulting in a single block. Individual squares were not an option for me. So, if you're looking to purchase any forms, this is the place to go. When you're pulling the form together, make sure you know whether you want solid or individual squares.
