This was put to an unusual use by me. I drilled a hole in the bathroom wall and inserted this window into it. It adds light to a room that would otherwise be dark and suffocating. The window was delivered quickly, was simple to install, and was of good quality. br>br>It's simple to open and close, and it's a good deal all around.
Curtains aren't required because the windows let in plenty of light but not enough light to see through. To help vent shower steam or enjoy a refreshing breeze, simply open the door.
The awning hardware is well-made and secures the window in the position it's been adjusted to, which ranges from closed to nearly horizontal. The color and texture of the vinyl appear to be exactly as shown in the photo. Light and basic shapes are visible through the frosted glass, but it provides plenty of privacy. I bought this to avoid having to build a window with an awning feature myself to allow maximum ventilation and light while keeping most side precipitation out of the roosting house of the chicken coop I'm building with basic 2x4 construction. For the build, I'll need several more of these in various lengths, and I'll purchase more based on this initial purchase.

The window arrived in good condition and in a well-packaged box. This was perfectly sized for the 16x8in air vent slot in my basement wall. Simply apply some mortar to the sides of the window to keep it in place, and then caulk around the outside of the window to seal it. Now I have complete control over the air flow beneath my house!.
