Instead, get a Simple Kit. First and foremost, I want to state unequivocally that I adore the Wall Control line of peg boards, which I currently have six of in my garage. The assorted hooks and brackets are why I gave it three stars. Simply put, they aren't worth the extra money. You'd be better off purchasing the two-board kit for $34 and then purchasing a more affordable assortment of hooks, etc. , or making your own shelves and other useful items out of wood (see YouTube). Again, I like the peg boards, but the hooks and brackets in this kit are few and far between. I intend to purchase two more boards, but I will forego this combination in favor of a simpler one.
It complements my stainless steel appliances perfectly. I built a spice rack between studs in the wall, then screwed a piano/continuous hinge down one side of a 30" X 18" panel, installed magnetic catches, and it now serves as a door. Take a look at the photos, but keep in mind that they are still being worked on.
These were purchased in two sets for extra boiler room storage. I never have enough hooks, but I discovered that curtain pins work great; I was able to hook pliers and anything else with a loop on them, and I was able to save a lot of money by improvising. Simply use them in the opposite direction from how they were intended.
The pegs, hooks, and other accessories are sturdy and easy to hang, but the installation instructions state that "due to sheet metal edges. " When installing, it is strongly recommended that you wear gloves. 'Because the edges are sharper than an Exacto blade,' I should have written. 'Be careful, these edges are razor sharp and will slice your finger open if you even rub against them while opening the plastic. ' I didn't require stitches, but I did manage to file the inside of one of my fingers. I suppose I should have read the instructions first.
This pegboard is a fantastic addition to our garage organization system — we've been working on tidying things up with various craftsman drawer systems and now needed a place to store our "often used" items. PROS: br>br>

Because of its fragility and general appearance, "pegboard" has never been a favorite of mine. These are fantastic panels! Strong, long-lasting, and attractive! It's incredibly simple to install, and there's no need for a "standoff" if you're mounting it directly to the wall. The hooks that come with the kit are well-designed and can be adjusted so that they don't pull out when you remove a tool. The shelves are extremely sturdy, and the system as a whole is extremely useful. I'm debating whether or not to put some of them elsewhere in the house. The fact that these panels can also be used with regular pegboard hooks only adds to their versatility.
