It all depends on how much damage you cause. I taped it down before I started dry walling. After that, 60 percent of it was damaged to the point where I wouldn't trust it to protect my floor again.
Ram Board is a compressed paper product that may not be suitable for use in a wheelchair. It's prone to fraying and degradation, and it wouldn't be strong enough to support the weight of a wheelchair. For long-term use with a wheel chair, I would recommend a textile-type floor protector.
For a simple, clean cut, we recommend using either a sharp pair of scissors or a utility/razor knife. Thank you, American Floor Mats.

We used painters blue tape to secure the ram board to the floor, which protected the floor for over two weeks of heavy foot traffic in and out of the house. The ram board protects your floor from tools dropping and abuse that can easily occur during construction or home renovations, from carpenters to painters to plumbers and appliance installers. Highly recommended, and I will certainly use it again to protect finished flooring in the future!.
We didn't want to scratch the hardwood floors in my son's new house because he had them redone. This product did a fantastic job of safeguarding the walking areas. Very strong and durable. It was a miracle that we were able to save the day. (Not to mention the floors!).
It is not always possible to do the floors last, especially if you are living in the home during the remodel, so it is absolutely necessary to protect new flooring while the renovation is ongoing. Great product that allows you to schedule different contractors with more flexibility. Just keep in mind that it isn't waterproof, so use temporary plastic drop cloths where spills are a possibility. Unlike drop cloths, it is simple to sweep and vacuum.
This was purchased to protect my kitchen and entry floors during a kitchen renovation project. It is simple to install; I used blue painter tape for the outside edges and Ram Board tape for the inside seams, which all held up well throughout my project. It is also simple to cut with a utility knife.

Extremely overpriced; I thought it said two rolls but there was only one.
During our move into our new home, Ram Board did an excellent job of protecting our carpeted and tiled floors. It was a drizzly, muddy day, and many of our appliances had to be dragged across grass and mulch to avoid other impediments. This was strong enough to support the weight of a washer and dryer rolling across plush carpet on a dolly. We had no trouble keeping it where we needed it on the carpet because I rolled it out "against the curl" the night before. At the ends of the tiles, we used painters tape. Nothing more powerful is required. I'm glad I didn't use the sticky saran wrap carpet protector because I've heard horror stories about how difficult it is to remove. Plus - This item can be used again and again.
