That doesn't seem to be the case to me. While I ended up with more than I needed for my project, it is really nice to be able to swap out a bad one with a good one if I need to. The advantage of tiles over large rugs is that they are more compact.

The tiles are 24 x 24, but how thick are they?

Despite its lightweight nature, this tile is not backed. The face weight of this product has 32oz of fiber! Thanks for thinking about 4urFloor carpet tiles. That is a huge pile!

Make you aware! Although I believe the carpet will not last very long because it is so thin, I am unsure if it will be easy to install

I would have returned it if it wasn't for the hassle, but I've decided to use it as padding until I can make another purchase of a higher quality and probably not from this company.
