There is a thread for attaching an extension pole to it. I did not receive a pole with it. It looks like the thread size is standard based on the fact that all of my poles fit.

This is the applicator you need if you desire to apply a floor finish (varnish, etc. ). The furniture consists of two hardwood blocks with a shearling (wool) pad wrapped around them. When I used this as directed, it broke as soon as I applied it. This ruined the entire project. I was painting a hard wood floor, and I had to repaint it again It is best to sand it and then start again. THIS IS NOT A GOOD ITEM TO BUY. Those who make this product should recall it immediately because it is so cheap and worthless.
