Questions & Answers

Is it possible for you to ship this item to Singapore? I'll need to buy four boxes, right?

You make your own purchase.

Is it possible to use this on a fiberglass tub?

It works great on fiberglass tubs, and I've used it on two so far.

Is it possible to add color to this?

If you're not familiar with chemistry and paint mixing, I wouldn't try tinting this. Because it's a highly toxic paint formula, adding a pigment could change the viscosity or overall structure of the paint. Perhaps start with a small area first? I think it's a great idea, but I'd be cautious. I'd also recommend using a powdered pigment for tinting. That might be your best bet.

Is it possible to paint over bathroom tiles with this product?

Yes, I used this to repaint all of mine.

This is a good alternative to replacing the tub
5/5

I bought the four-pack. Two cans and three coats were used to paint the tub/shower in the photo. I contacted Rust-Oleum, and they were extremely helpful, sending me an email with a data sheet that contained all of the information I required. Up until the sanding, I followed the instructions to a tee. Fiberglass makes up my unit. The gloss on the textured areas couldn't be removed with the 400 grit paper because it wasn't coarse enough. So I went out and bought 200, which worked perfectly. I used the roller and brush recommended by Rust-Oleum, and they worked perfectly. Use one of each of the disposable paint trays with a 4" roller for each coat. If you save it for later coats, your finish will be riddled with these tiny dried epoxy particles. Trust me when I say that you should use a new pan and roller every time, and that you should use the brush to get those weird angle corners out of the way before rolling on the finish. You'll have a lot of fun using a roller to cover them without damaging the finish. With the roller, I was able to completely cover the tub. The FUMES! br> WOW! It's an understatement to say that this stuff stinks. It has a lot of power. When applying this product, you must use a vapor respirator. You may be in serious danger if you do not. I also recommend investing in and wearing a pair of goggles. My eyes were watering so badly by the third coat (each an hour apart) that I couldn't see to finish. All night long, I had the bathroom vent fan on. The fumes were extremely strong the first night, far too strong for your children, both two and four-legged, to be around. They did dissipate significantly after the first night, especially in pregnant women and those with respiratory problems. The smell was much better two days after application. I'm not sure if it'll take two or more weeks like some people claimed in their reviews and videos. br>Before I tried, I watched a lot of YouTube videos and read every Amazon customer review I could find. I advise you to follow my lead. Both the triumphs and the setbacks were appreciated. Both of them taught me something. All of them taught me that preparation is essential. You will have issues if you do not follow Rust-Oleum's instructions for preparation; do not take shortcuts. Prepare to devote some time to this endeavor. If I run into any problems later, I intend to repost. It has a nice appearance to it. It's a bright, glossy white, and it's fantastic! Oh! On delivery, I had no leaks or damaged cans, as some others had. To you, I wish a successful refinishing.

The unattractive cultured marble has been given a makeover! We had two 40-year-old yellow and poop-green cultured marble vanity/sinks (1 prefabbed piece each)
5/5

I read through all of the reviews and ensured that I was properly prepared. I scrubbed, scrubbed, scrubbed our old faucets and drains. CLR was used twice, and glass cleaner was used once. After that, I used a 400 grit sandpaper. THEN I used Kilz Adhesions primer (which is probably why I had such good luck with a slick surface like prefabbed culture marble). After a day of waiting, I finally got a response. Then I applied three coats of Rustoleum tub and tile with 4 inch rollers, waiting only 40 minutes between coats (which is recommended). For the corners, I used a smaller brush. It is NON-NEGOTIABLE to wear a respirator. You'll still need it even with the windows open and a box fan. And you'll need at least five days to let it air out before you're comfortable being around it. If you have children, do it before going on a short vacation. br>Supplies must be on hand:
1. tape for frogs
2. Respirator of excellent quality.
3. Kilz adhesion primer is a product that is used to make a bond between two surfaces
4. 4 inch roller with a set of ten high quality, dense foam rollers (I used every one for one tub and tile kit that lasted over both vanities) Tub and tile will eat through rollers, so get a lot of them and replace them frequently.
5. Paint trays, no. 6 Angular brush by Woosterbr>br>br>br>br>br>br>br Sandpaper with a grit of 400 and an orbit sander.

It lasts a long time
4/5

It's been almost a year, and it's been fantastic. I should have done it sooner when we converted our peto bismol pink bathroom to a normal-looking white tile bathroom. It made a difference to read the rest of the brush and roller reviews. The most difficult issue I had to solve was drips of excess paint that bunched down the wall. The problem for me was that when the roller came into contact with the wall and started to drip, if I didn't get to those drips right away, they hardened and I couldn't fix it. I discovered this fairly quickly and began working behind the toilet, so it was not as obnoxious as it could have been, but it was still an eye opener. br>br>Also, this stuff has a VERY strong odor. You must ventilate your home to the greatest extent possible. In my case, I obtained a chemical face mask, closed the bathroom door, and used the bathroom air vent. Because the smell spreads quickly when you open the door, I wanted to keep it limited to the bathroom rather than the entire house. We had two small children at the time, and we didn't want to upset them by how strong this was. br>br>Overall, I enjoyed it and thought it was well worth the money.

It's fairly simple to use extremely harsh fumes
5/5

The paint has a thin consistency that allows it to run easily, so start with thin coats, let it dry, and go over 3 to 4 times to get a nice even layer. The fumes are horrible, so wear a respirator if you can, or have fans in the windows open. Also, make sure the prep is smoothing out the surface if your tile is sup.

Put on your safety glasses, put on your respirator, and get ready! Wear a respirator, clean the surface, sand the surface, mask the surface, purchase rollers that will not dissolve in the paint, open all windows, turn on fans, and start painting
5/5

It took a few coats because the paint was so watery. I waited about 40 minutes between coats and it was perfect; the paint in the bathtub, which is used every day, is still looking great after a month. So far, there hasn't been any fading or chipping. However, I can still smell the product when I take a bath, and I recommend wearing safety goggles because this stuff gave me a chemical burn on my eye.

The vanity top and the tub are both made of granite
5/5

I purchased this product to refinish my tub, but I also used it to refinish my counter top vanity, and both turned out well; I will update my review in six months.

Exposure to strong fumes necessitates the use of a mask. Fumes will make you sick and dizzy if you do not wear a mask.

Make sure you follow all of the instructions to the letter
5/5

Our shower appeared to be old, and no matter what we tried, we couldn't get it to look clean. I was afraid of how it would turn out once it was finished, but it now looks like a brand new shower.
