Product is excellent. It does what it says in the advertisement it shines ceramic tiles very nicely as described. When my contractor applied the product, he followed the instructions to the letter, as you must if you want the product to work well. It would be best if the product were not applied It would be best to get it done by a professional. In order to obtain the best results, it is crucial that you follow the instructions carefully when applying the product yourself.
Following a significant amount of research, we decided to use Covertec to seal and enhance our recently installed ceramic tile floor in the main living and dining areas of our house. of the CoverTec floor finish was higher than that of other similar products, but my wife and I wanted to get the best. My wife and I followed the included instructions carefully in preparing our floor and applying the After two days of anticipation, we were disappointed and frustrated to find that the tile floor we anticipated was not as good as we thought it would be. Now, we have an uneven, splotchy floor that is shiny in some areas, dull in others, and overall has a bumpy, "pigskin" texture similar to one that is found on a football. The attached photos are available for viewing. It was clear that the paintbrush patterns of the floor were very noticeable near the baseboards as a contrast with the We are still unable to walk on some parts of the floor after drying for three days. Two days of sanding with 220 grit sandpaper have not done what I want, so I am hoping to save my floor by changing the application process before completely stripping off the CoverTec completely. Upon discovering our new floor had been completely replaced with tile, my wife recommends to have the entire process done. Typically, we use a non-porous tile that is 24 inches square I'm fairly certain that a 1/4" nap roller, rather than the recommended 3/8" nap roller per the included instructions, would have probably resolved the "pigskin" effect we had on our finished floor. As a result, I believe this product would work really well in textured and woodgrain type tiles where the issues we observed in our flat tiles might not occur If not for the textured tile, it would not have been as evident. For anyone planning to do a DIY project with this product to apply a film finish to flat non-edible surfaces, I wouldn't recommend it in the slightest The texture of the tiles.
The sum is in the hundreds. What it says is exactly what it does. It would be cheaper to hire someone than to pay them. Besides my kitchen, bathrooms, front and side porches, and patio, I have used this on the tile work in them. My next step will be to apply it to the tiled walls of my shower.
The tiles we bought from the local home supply store were reasonable inexpensive and had a nice pattern, but they were kind of dull in color. This satin went on easily and really brought out the natural colors of the tiles, adding just the right amount of gloss and sealing The result was excellent.
I like it.
I really like this product.
There's still a lot of shine on the Satin finish! There is no reason to think anyone would want the actual shiny There is something about the satin finish that seems almost too shiny, but it does pick up the colors in the tiles really well, and I got used to it in the end.
