You need only apply it in seconds to use it. The battery was installed on the machine. I don't expect it to need to be replaced soon. After reaching up on top of my car and clicking the “Learn” button on the side of the linear garage door opener for the first time, I asked the garage door opener for permission to speak to it from there. After receiving the response, I clicked on the “OK” button that Just that. After a few blinks of light, it was ready to go. Having not had one for weeks now, I'm happy to have this device and how simple it is to get started!!.
