It certainly ought to. That's what I have, but I'm not sure how old it is.
A black Phillips head screw can be found underneath the clip. Pry open the back of the battery with a small flat blade screwdriver. The battery will slide out the bottom if you press down on it hard enough.
My garage door is opened by a Genie Excelerator. When my originals stopped working, I decided to buy these. I hope this has been of assistance.

To learn the opener, get a ladder and climb up to it, find the "learn" button, which is usually near the light bulb, and press it, then press the remote button until the opener learns it. Instructions were included with the remote, though they were written in very small print. I ordered two remote controls, and both of them function flawlessly.
The garage door opener's remote control was programmed in less than 20 seconds. I attached the clip to the over-head flap of my car. Done. I spent less than a quarter of the price of the official remote.
I purchased this garage opener to replace an older model of the same make and model. It works flawlessly and is simple to operate. br>Recent changes: I purchased this remote in November of 2019 and it worked perfectly for about six months. By May 2020, it was no longer functional. I assumed the battery was starting to fail, despite the fact that it was supposed to last at least a year. Nothing happened after I installed a new battery. I tried again to get it to learn the code, thinking that perhaps it had been lost due to the battery change, but no luck. I'm now completely stranded with a useless remote and no other means of accessing the garage.
This one came up when I typed in the model number on the back (ACSCTG type 3) into Amazon. I was a little worried because some of the reviews had issues, but mine went off without a hitch. It came with instructions, and there's apparently a youtube video if you're still having trouble (despite the fact that it's literally just pushing two buttons). It took me longer to locate the step ladder than it did to program the remote. I will say that it comes with a battery already installed, and it does not use the A23 size like my previous one, so don't expect to find one. However, it works right out of the box, so there's no need to look for a battery. In a nutshell, it's possible to work remotely. Installing it was a breeze. If you're in need of one, this is the one to get.
It's a good door opener that works well, but the instructions left out the fact that a battery was already installed and that it wasn't a regular battery. However, because a battery, such as a double or triple AAA, could be inserted, I nearly broke it trying to figure out how to do so. Everything else about it is fantastic.
This single door opener is for Genie garage doors, but it also claims to work with Overhead Garage Doors openers. It was for this reason that I purchased it from Overhead. Well, it doesn't seem to work as well as it should. From the inside, it works fine, but it won't open from the outside when the door is closed. The signal appears to be too weak to pass through the garage door. As a result, I'm a little let down. Genie might be okay with it.
My order arrived this morning. I used my 20-year-old daughter to learn the code by following the instructions included in the package. Garage door opener from Genie IntelliCode, which is a year old. I was so skeptical that I stood there like a goober constantly opening and closing my garage door on the first try. br>br>The most challenging part of the code learning process was crawling up to the door opener, removing the insect-filled light cover without getting stung, and finding the Learn button. After that, everything went smoothly, and both of the openers I ordered were quickly matched to my existing door opener. br>br>It still amazes me that openers for such an old garage door opener are available. Thank you very much to the seller for stocking such a useful item.
incredibly pleased; Programming is simple. It comes with a battery, but it's not in the same place as the one in the original remote. I'm not sure where it is, to tell you the truth. However, that is something to be concerned about in the future. When the time comes, it'll probably be just as inexpensive to buy a new remote.
