Questions & Answers

You can open the door with the remote control, but once it opens, it will keep opening. I can close it from the inside, though, do you think that will solve the problem? Lift the mast?

The answer is yes if you're able to close the door by holding down the button on the wall. There is a possibility that the wiring is bad. There may be a problem with the There are a lot of times where people use electrical tape and the adhesive actually breaks the connection over time. If the connections are already spliced, try resplating them first. In the case where there is no splice, it might just be the eyes. In order to see how well they work. Make sure you're using a 9-volt battery that's newer. Connect the matching wires to the two sensors after they have been detached. black and white wires so they face each other. Line them up so the black line is on the positive side and the white one on the negative. In this case, the problem is not with the eyes, but with both lights on. Possible problem would be a bad wire that is pinched or a bad circuit board on the motor. I wish you the best of

How do these sensors work? Do they come with wires?

Pigtails measuring 3 feet in length. The wire from your opener must be connected to these and then the two wires must be spliced.

Is it possible to use them with a craftsman opener?

In fact, I was able to use it with a Craftsman perfectly.

Can this sensor be used to turn on a light when it ?

The circuit board is located in the opening of the door. The garage door opener does not work like a switch, but if the light is already on, then it will also turn on the garage door opener

In addition to the garage door opener, I also worked on an older garage door opener
5/5

Rather than one green light and one orange light, my original sensors (pictured) were each lit by a green light. I saw that others said it may work but make no guarantees, so I thought that I'd try it, as I found others say this SHOULD work but make no guarantees, so I wanted to write this in order to let others know that yes, it does indeed Despite the weather outside being below freezing, installation was very straightforward and took less than 15 minutes to complete. And that was with two cars parked in the garage to work around. I highly recommend these, they fixed my issue with the receiving sensor not working when it got quite.

When you walk into the Chamberlain lights, does it flash like ten times
5/5

What do you do when your father in law's garage door won't Can you see how many times the Chamberlain lights flash at you at a time? The sensors were installed correctly and mounted into the wall to ensure that they won't be run over again on accident. He will not be able to access his car unless he runs his car through the garage walls. Wife happy. Thanks for being such a wonderful wife. I wish you a happy life.

It is true that over time, these safety sensors go bad
5/5

The age of my parents is 14 years old There was an old garage door opener (Chamberlain) that would not close when full sun shone on the transmitter (yes, the transmitter, the unit with an There were intermittent flickers on the LED of the receiver (the unit with the green LED), causing the door opener to think there was an obstruction in its

I cut two pieces of paper-- one for each arm-- following advice I found on the Internet In order to minimize interference from the sun, temporarily put towel tubes over both the receiver and the transmitter Although the green LED in the receiver has continued to flicker erratically (although at a less severe rate than previously), it has become less erratic. My curiosity drove me to open the case of the transmitter and receiver, and I found the bane of electronics today A capacitor made of electrolytic material. The electronic filtering components gradually fail over time, and heat (such as sunlight) accelerates their failure rate As a result, I was surprised that the problem didn't appear a few years earlier. My garage door opener stopped closing because of the sunlight. I turned to the Internet and found this new set of "Garage Door Opener Replacement Safety Sensors". I installed them, and now the door no longer slides open in the afternoon. My hope is that they will continue to operate for 14 more.

When it was cold, our garage door refused to open
5/5

With these sensors we can now close our door normally. Sadly, we had the same problem as others reviewers the garage door opener wasn't working. When the weather is cold, the lights on the opener flash more often, preventing the door from closing. It seemed as if there was nothing blocking the beam, and it was aligned properly, but the door wouldn't I found this more than a little frustrating as I left for work in zero degree weather. A button on the wall had to be pushed to close the door and we had to go outside All would be well when the weather improved, the door worked properly, and the door would be functional again. looking into buying new garage door openers last winter when we were having problems again, but I stumbled upon some reviews from people who had a similar problem to ours and were able to resolve it by replacing their garage door sensors. This is worth a shot! The first set I bought solved my problem, and the second set helped as well. We then purchased another set for our second garage door not long after. It was very easy to install them.

The problem with sunlight interference has not been fixed
3/5

It had been occurring that the sun was shining on the sensors, and I was told that replacing them with these sensors would be able to resolve that issue. Unlike what was suspected, this did not happen. The sensors are getting confused by the sunlight instead of an actual object in the line of sight when I replace them, and the door is still not closing. Although I cannot entirely fault the product on this point, I would give you a caution if you are planning to replace the sensors since the existing ones get tripped by the sunlight.

I did not find it to be successful
4/5

For some reason, these sensors (801CB) did not work with The instructions state that the button is to be colored blue. I accept responsibility for this since that is what was instructed. My brain had a hard time understanding why the indicator light should be yellow when the disk is purple, orange or red. A yellow program button and a red indicator light are on my program button. The garage door opener on my garage is a Sears Craftsman (Model The product code 53615SR is used for this product. A 1/2 horsepower engine). In 1995 or before, I believe I installed it. Several reviews suggested that these might work for me, so I took a chance and ordered them. The wires were temporarily connected before I strung the cable, and I checked that the lights on the sensors were illuminated (solid beam). Then, as the door closed, I stepped between the sensors to disrupt the beam, and the door closed just fine The meeting did not take place.
