Using my older smaller style operating remote, it is impossible to program. The YouTube videos I watched, and the tricks people said might work, including taking the remote apart to make sure that it made good contact, did not work, and the working remote became unprogrammed until my husband's came so that I could program it properly. There is a difference in style between this remote and the original, and the parts that I've received in the past, but I can see that it is listed as being correct for my garage door opener. My experience has been very frustrating and if I ever need to replace it, I'll be buying another brand. I haven't had a problem with programming until the change in style, and it seems like the manufacturer might have to redesign things from the consumer's perspective.
The pins on one side of the old remote go into holes on the new remote, and the pins on the other side fit into holes on the new remote. Finally, connect them together by pressing a hold button as directed. It's time to program the new remote! Even if you read the directions, it shouldn't take more than a minute. It is not necessary to drag out a ladder to mess with the buttons on your overhead garage door opener. I am very pleased with the new openers. Although I had to try once more to program one of the remotes, it was still much faster than being forced to read out the programming instructions. I found the price to be very reasonable for two remote controls.
The universal remote brought up all the videos, so I checked them out. one "universal" remote ($15) from Amazon, but I had to send it back because it didn't work with any of the programing methods. was not looking for a pair of remotes, but I chose to order this pair (30 $) since singles weren't The adapter has three wires, and a remote that works! This makes cloning super easy! I was glad I made the effort.
My Marantec model worked perfectly following the instructions on their web site. The second remote was then connected following the instructions included in the package. We were able to clone and install the remotes in each vehicle in less than 20 minutes. You made it easy and quick for me! I am very pleased with the service.
There is no AES in this vehicle! I had no idea it wasn't The remote I'm holding here is a cheap little one that works great. I really like the range, and programming is a snap because of the pins!.
When the garage door repair person was here replacing a broken spring, ("Garage door jamming? Call Hamon") and asked him how much a new remote would cost. He replied "$30", paused and then replied "$40. ". "Was he trying to raise the price? I told him "I can buy two remotes on Amazon for less than $30. " Don't worry about it. "These remotes work well and are easy to set up. They require very little programming. It took 318 dollars to repair the broken hose over spring break.
It was a pleasure to see these. The door opener we had was a Marantec, and I was concerned that they wouldn't work with it. But they did. The one garage door opener (with dead batteries) that we received with our new home was no longer functional. This was the first time I've ordered these, and the pins included made it really easy for me to program them. As for utilizing the remote to open both doors, I figured out how to make it work just fine. I like this product very much.
In our case, this two pack is less than half of the cost of the remotes that our garage door installer wanted. It was clear how to follow the directions. The garage door must be functional before you can program it. This is easy. In less than five minutes, both programs were programmed. This would be a purchase I would make again.
