The answer is yes. Pros and Cons of A board should have a thickness of three inches or less for NB Four and a half inches, plus or minus one sixteenth inch. My own tests show that I can use my short screws (1 7/8 inches) on some cedar fencing which is less then 3/4" thick.
The CAMO Marksman Pro was used by me This NB Tool fits my 3/4" x 3 1/2" boards made of Ipe. I found this to be a very useful tool! 3/4" x 3 1/4" to 1" x 5" is what I say it fits. There is one that can go up to 1 1/2" thick, I believe.
There is a crooked edge to the Although it seems like a lot of work, it would be possible to fix two 2x4's together through the tool by securing the toe screws
It comes in two versions Marksman Pro and the Network Marksman Pro Those two can be used either the regular Marksman Pro which works on 2x6s, but not on 2x4s, or Marksman Pro NB which works on 2x4s, actually. If you want it to be more beautiful, you can use either redwood or cedar. Fastening deck boards with this system is a good solution.

A month passed before I completed the work, only to learn that I had purchased the wrong tool for the job A model of the right size. It can only be returned for about three weeks by the manufacturer. During my return, my return was unused in its original box, so I wanted to exchange it for the right model. I have yet to test how well this works, since I need to buy another model first. A review based entirely on experience with manufacturer's policies is presented here.
I really like the look of the deck with this! In my case, it worked very well for installing cedar 2x4 on the deck. There was no need for me to pre-register Drill the boards and it worked well for pulling down slightly warped boards (I discarded boards with big wows). My board positioning system worked well and I was able to use the legs to position most boards all by themselves, while using flat bars for fine-tuning spaces (3/16") or holding boards while screws were being I want to include one warning as well-it takes a lot longer to use this method than just screwing through the tops of boards, but the results are worth it, as they don't look messy or show screws. My one complaint is that it is so sturdy that I can't mention it enough A deck consisting of 1,400 square feet, topped with steps and a rim board, was installed Even after nearly a decade, it still looks I also purchased the screws in bulk with the fastener, but when I needed extras I just stopped by Home Depot and got a small box (they cost a little more than online, but there was no waiting for postage to arrive).
If you are installing Ipe, Meranti, Mahogany, or (any kind of) Hardwood decking, make sure you purchase the special drill bits you need. After you read this, you will thank me! In addition to typical pressure-treated decking, composite decking, and so on, you can also pre-install decking with this tool. It is not necessary to drill into these materials since their composition is so soft. Additionally, you will need to invest in Camo screws to make use of this tool. The results, however, are fantastic! Never had a client who was dissatisfied with my work!.
I am to blame for the rating not being very high. As soon as I saw it used on a YouTube deck building video, I was intrigued. Even though I was still confused, I did not understand that there were various tools for boards of different widths. Had I not been under such a tight deadline, I'd have exchanged it for the larger size that was suitable for the deck boards. I still think it's a great tool though.
While watching a video online, I stumbled on this deck fastening system. I chose it since there are no visible surface blemishes. I was satisfied with the tool since it did everything it said it would do. The only complaint I had was that a specialist tool was required for each 2x4 and 2x6. The tools you will need will vary depending on whether you are using both sizes of lumber on the deck surface. Although installing the decking surface takes a lot longer than anticipated, it looks great once it's done. There will be a test to see if fasteners hold up over.
Decking tool of the highest quality. When they replace decks with new ones, I have converted everyone I know to this system. A great product is finished, and the boards are fastened in such a way that they shouldn't cup. My opinion is that it is well worth the price.
Unless the deck is open Wilton without obstacles around it (some styles), you will be unable to use this unless it is being replaced with wood without removing the railing.
I've been able to speed up my solo refinish installation thanks to its thoughtful design. It took me more time to lay out each row and fasteners than it did to drill and fasten I purchased the lever and screws as well as extra bits along with this tool. Highly recommend it.
