Yesterday, I installed these and was able to line them up against my house. I thought it would be an easy installation until I tried to adjust the clips. Half of the clips wouldn't allow the board to push in and when trying to adjust the clips, the screws started coming loose. Looking at the clips I had left, I realized half of them have different shapes and I would have to reshape most of them in order to make them compatible. As long as they work right out of the box, if I spent $10 on these, I'd be okay to do that, but when you pay $40, I expect it to work. If they are going to charge $40 for these clips you might think they will package them like they do with their hidden fasteners, so these flimsy clips will not be bent or My goal was to predrill the trex boards and add deck screws to the first board. So far, the hidden fasteners are working well, but the screws that I have needed to adjust have started stripping off, so I am going to replace them rather than keep using them. The Trex hardware has not been useful to me and I wouldn't recommend it.

It's easy to install the clips, but they begin to mash and round as soon as they are overtightened. When installed, the clips do not become visible, but they keep the deck boards in position firmly. The screws cost about $1 each, but the deckboards do not need to be screwed into the face.
It works well and is nice to use. You may buy it from South Shore Flooring but don't buy it from them. Although it was double the fair market value of other sellers, I cannot explain why I bought it. It would have been better if I had A total of 28 pieces were sent to me rather than the 36 I purchased. The rest of the 8 aren't coming because the flooring manufacturing company said I put them in storage assuming everything was there where I got them. When I begin the installation several months later, they state that they can't do anything about it because the purchase was several years I guess my trust in them led to this result. Trying to live and learning is the only way I see it. I wish everyone the best of luck with their DIY projects.

Because I was using Trex boards on the edges of the deck, I ordered extra edge clips. During the process of making the edge board straight, one of the boards went flat out, but I replaced it and everything worked out beautifully.
I'm glad I came across them. They are not available at every big box store. Having to buy a box of four fasteners in order to get four of them.
