This is an excellent hold down and it is These are meant to be used as a deck around an outdoor shower

A biscuit joiner was used to cut channels into Ipe wood deck boards every 12". Without the use of deck fasteners, this system made it easy to space and hold down the deck. We had a lot left over so we built a cedar bench without surface screws out of it.
