Questions & Answers

Can this be used on Moistureshield fascia? Many thanks for your kind words! ?

The Deckfast Fascia screws are intended to be used with this. A pilot hole for the screw is drilled with the tool, and the relief for the flat head of the deckfast screw is cut precisely. As for your question about which fascia system this tool works with, that is due to the deckfast screws and whether they have threads that will match the color and design of the fascia brand you intend to purchase.

What if my pine fascia splits around the hole? Do you think this will work?

In short, yes. usually use it to install trex fascia because of the way it expands and contracts. In addition, I use the Trex screws that were included Depending on how thick the paper is, you will most likely be fine as long as it is not thicker than 1 x whatever.

In this case, the half inch to 3/4 inch product was delivered. Three of my fascia screws are three-eighths of an inch. Are you able to offer one that fits the size of that ?

In this case, 1/2" to 3/4" refers to the thickness of the fascia board, not its screw head diameter. Designed to go with Starborn fascia screws, it is part of a system.

Is it possible to use this with 1" ?

The deck fascia boards, which are 1" thick, are what we used it for.

The shavings between every couple of holes need to be cleaned thoroughly You will end up with big marks on your fascia if you do not do this! It took me a couple of boards before I noticed what I was doing. It means I have to replace $60 in boards so the screw holes will not have a large ring around them I didn't encounter any problems besides that ( There have been complaints about fading after a short time Then it will take a lot longer. The only option I could see was to use fascia screws for the front of the house - I couldn't find any other option. Could be worse than this, but it's better than nothing.

It was a great find, which led to an amazing end result
5/5

My search for a tool ended here! Thank you very much! As I searched for screws, I came across this tool, and I was hesitant to spend the money on it, however it has made the installation of my fascia boards on my deck look fantastic! As simple as drilling a hole, this method does not damage the board. Although I am not sure what types of materials this will be effective on, I am definitely going to use it if I need to drill countersink holes in other woodworking projects instead of using.

For sleek deck installations, this is a must-have
5/5

It is the perfect tool, and it is easy to use It is warranted. With this tool you can drill a perfect hole each and every time and you will never damage your deck. Using this tool along with matching screws will produce a stunning looking deck fascia where you cannot see any screws, gaps, dips, etc. You can't really see it unless you walk up to it and stand a couple of.

This is a must-have
4/5

It works perfectly. The half box of screws on the Trex fascia collided with the fascia. The blade needed to be sharpened. It's not a huge issue but I would prefer it to be more sharp and clean for a longer time. markings or scuffs on the white fascia of my car. Installation of fascias is made easy with this tool.

Tools are cut using this method
3/5

In the end, I was unable to change the drill bit size because the drill size was a little over-sized for the screw. Also, I would have liked to be able to adjust the depth of the drill bit. Cuts do not result in good results when using the tool that cut for screw head sizes. After it's been cut, it leaves a rough finish. Apart from that, I found it to be fine.

Be sure you know what diameter your screws are before buying! In accordance with expectations, the tool successfully drilled the pilot hole and countersink hole
4/5

It was a major problem because the pilot hole was significantly larger than my screws. Though I was pleased with the tool, I wish the pilot hole had been smaller to more easily attach the board. It was not my fault I didn't verify the diameter matches. A tool with multiple pilot drills is what I would purchase if I had to purchase again.
