Included in the package is one post. A gate is not included in the fence kit if your project includes a fence, however two posts are included with the gate kit. we offer additional posts either our 5' concrete posts for concrete or our 6' concrete posts for concrete. The soil you need to build your fence can be found on Amazon in 5' postings.
It does not come with them. appears that a label with the original parts list has been glued over the label with the change of parts and a part where flanges are listed was deleted. The white was also removed anywhere it is stated that there are flanges. The two must be purchased separately!
Anyone with basic skills can assemble a gate with a flush top (by cutting the vertical bars with a hack saw to desired lengths). But the gate will have openings at the top along the upper horizontal rail, so some type of finishing cap would be needed to finish it off.

The reason we purchased the gate is that we were hoping it would serve as the "gangway" between our house and our neighbor's. Our home is located in a historic neighborhood of St. Louis where the houses are parallel to each other with a path of just five feet between them. As far as simple gates go, I had not received any estimates for anything less than $2,000 from fencing contractors. Two of them said they specialized in installing these gates under a city ordinance and didn't get any quotes for anything less than that. My search online led me to this. I decided to give it a shot. A quick delivery was made. It is true that much of the paint was scratched upon arrival. However, that didn't bother me too much (and it hasn't started rusting yet either - just yet). I'd be happy to discuss it with you a year from now). I found it to be extremely easy to construct the Invest in a cordless impact driver and a deep-well drill if you don't already have one You'll find that a 3/8" socket/driver is the best tool to use The posts have looked stylish since they were first put up, but setting them into concrete was much harder, taking several hours. I found the wedge anchors provided for setting the post flanges in concrete to be cheap looking and In addition to these, I bought others that were more substantial. A post flange is just a short piece of metal that sits on top of the post. I believe that they would add tons of stability to my application, at least if they were designed differently (for example, As well, finding brackets on either side of the gate to attach the post edges to the brick walls was an issue, but I think I've solved that problem with the brackets I had been using. As a whole, I think this is a very good product at an extremely reasonable cost. I am confident that it will fulfill everything I hoped for when I placed my order.
The product appears to be of high quality Rusting can only be observed in the years to come. It is stated on the box that it is made in China. I understand, but some of the literature stated that the product was made in the United States. You should beware. Despite the company's claims, the unit is not 4 feet wide. Read the particulars to determine what size opening you'll be able to use. A 4 foot gate is 42 inches wide, including an inch on each side for hinges and mounting holes. Is what the instructions specify, plus a 2" post on each side.
The specs are accurate, and the instructions are excellent. It's best to have an 8 mm socket and a power socket driver. You should be able to put this together in about 30 minutes.
A number of holes are to be drilled (no drill bit is supplied) and several dozen bolts installed to secure it. Nothing is marked to direct one, nor are directions very helpful. It is up to the user to align everything properly. After cementing the posts in place, the next step is digging the holes for the posts. This particular job took me between six and seven hours to do and I needed a few specialized tools (luckily I had them). I received the gate only four days after ordering it, so it looks sturdy enough.
The packaging was not as protective of the products as they should have been because of the way they were stacked together. I bought an extra post, gate, and an 8' panel for the entry way to my house. There are some minor scratches on all parts of the bike, but they don't necessarily compromise the structural integrity. We then had to find the right size of masonry bit and make sure that we used the right depth for the anchors in the posts. We followed the directions in the pictures on the post page, but the lattices The majority of my experience is in the sawmill industry, and I have been a business manager for 30 years, as well as Directions stated that a 1/2" drill would be needed, but the anchors were provided as 3/8" ones. The entry gate review will be updated as soon as it is complete. In my experience, it would be better for the manufacturer to review posts like these since several of these mentioned this issue and people seem to be frustrated. Just by providing the proper installation information, we could make this so much simpler. Despite the size, I still do not think I have enough parts for this since I had to cut the 8' panel in half and attach it to each side of the gate. Fortunately, I found spare parts at Sams club and can assemble it right now. The fence installation is not quite complete, but I found these gates and panels at Sam's Club for a cheaper price, as well as the needed parts to complete the.
Poor quality metal and design, right angle bracket It is not as wide as it appears (a few inches narrower than four feet wide), and the hinges are not even steel, they are made of plastic. It's a waste of money to buy this gate. Adding a few hours to modify the gate might make it last long enough for it to rust out. Because of the thin coat of paint on the steel, I anticipate this will happen quickly. There were even cracks in the plastic caps on the uprights, so they must be replaced as well.
The only thing I didn't like was the fit between the gate post and the posts were sloppy and I had to wedge shims between the post and the vertical shaft of the plate as well as drive numerous self tapping screws into the posts to secure them in place. I like how the gate turned out.
Steel materials make this product heavy (as opposed to aluminum or plastic). It will require assembly (did not take long) and it is not light as a feather (like aluminum or plastic). You are responsible for yourself Taking your time and not overtightening screws will make the task easier while drilling screws into metal requires a bit of muscle. My torque breaking point is 15 when I apply torque to my drill. As a result, I am satisfied with the product and am extremely glad I purchased it. I really like the way it looks, and it feels like it will last for a long time. noticed the little top caps for the actual gate door were missing, but it is not a big deal in my opinion (I'll contact the manufacturer). I still rate it a 5 out of 5. I wish you the best of.
