What Allen wrench size should I use to adjust the springs?

I don't recall, but I believe it was in metric.

Is the truclosure hinge compatible with a 3 inch post?

The hinges are fantastic, but the installation hardware is terrible

The hinges appear to be well-made and sturdy, with enough spring tension to close a gate if it is opened halfway and then released. If you only open it a few inches, it won't close, but it works otherwise. I would have given 5 stars if not for the fact that the screws provided will not last very long on most gates. I'd save the included hardware for a dollhouse or something, and buy bolts to go all the way through your fence post. An allen or star pattern bolt with a low head like a carriage bolt, I believe they're called pan heads, would be needed for clearance when the hinge is closed. I'm going to redo mine tomorrow, and if possible, I'll update this.

Install as soon as possible after the return period has passed

First and foremost, despite the fact that the description stated that it would, this does not fit my chain link fence properly. The gate would not open after it was installed. Furthermore, the screws are low-cost and quickly wear out. I wish I could have had them installed sooner so I could have returned, but my fence installation was postponed until this weekend. Make every effort to complete the installation in the allotted time. This does not fit a standard chain link, as stated.

When purchasing these hinges, keep this in mind

For a chain link gate, I purchased these hinges, the magnalatch, and all of the necessary adapters. It was not an inexpensive purchase. When I installed the hinges, it was clear that the gate was no longer wide enough to accommodate the latch. They don't mention that these hinges bring the gate much closer to the hinge post than your old hinges did. As a result, the gate is no longer large enough.

Can be installed in a variety of angles. I was able to make these hinges work despite the fact that my gate had a large gap. Working in a pleasant manner.
