In regards to the approval of building codes, are you referring to NOAs? My front fence line in Port Saint Lucie, FL, has four of these gates. I didn't even notice I had them until recently. An 8' gate with a 10' opening, a 5' gate with an 8' opening, and a 4 1/2' gate with a 5' opening. During the inspection, the inspector never once mentioned the gates once he had thoroughly examined the fence. The house is on the east side of US1 and has to be built to stronger wind codes in case of In addition, I can tell you that neither my fence nor my gates were damaged in the recent hurricane, yet thousands of fences and gates at my neighbors' houses were destroyed.
Despite the latch being a one way latch, it only comes with one way opening. Included in the package is everything you mentioned about mounting hardware. Using two kits is necessary for the double gate. I was able to buy the device for $13 from the depot.
The rails you mention don't make sense to me. In the photos, you can see exactly what the frame looks like. If you don't see three rails, then there are no three

With help from the cable turnbuckle, I can adjust the squareness of the gate so that it hangs properly. The information provided above is provided in the hope that it will be useful. I am Keith.
As a result of the weight of the wood, I replace the cable with a chain and larger turnbuckle. As far as the cable goes, it would probably have been fine, but would probably have needed to be tightened over time nevertheless because of the stretching, as the chain contains This gate was made stronger and more sturdy by its metal frame and hinge. The other 4-foot Gates on my property have caught my eye, and I'm debating whether I should replace them with this replacement My gate is probably so small that you could drive a truck through it and not go through it. As the corners, I use 6 by 6 posts Planet 3 feet deep, and in the middle, I use metal tubes with drop down pins that I insert into the holes to secure No, the dog is not taking a poo, the picture was taken when the middle pin pipes were hardening in concrete.
In its own right, the gate is a 5 star product. A half-star deduction is on account of the ridiculously cheap hardware and another half is due to the fact that people have been complaining about this for years but the manufacturer never takes action. The pros are The steel was in good condition, the finish on the steel was great, and the installation was easy. 2 of these gates were used to create a 12 foot double gate that worked perfectly The body does not sag at all. The cons are There's nothing worse than nasty screws and bolts It is fitted with a latch (and it has excellent hinges). Screws made from wood were good, but those made from steel were inconvenient We replaced the tappers with ones that worked better (we were using bad I imagine the latch will rust since it's not galvanized or otherwise treated. I also think there will have to be a recess cut into the 1st board as receivers of the hinge and the Inception gates are designed to open inwards however, the gate I purchased had to replace an outward opening gate (due to the slope in which it was orientated). The latch and latch bar can be switched sides in order to accomplish this. In addition, the steel plate that prevents the latch from slamming against the board must be mounted on that side of the door. It's so that a cut has to be made- Because of the size of the steel frame and location of the welds, it is not easy to move it, but it is possible with some care. Check that the 2x4s you screw into the frame are square from front to back as well. In order to keep my bottom 2x4 square, I had to "push" it outward relative to the frame (since the timbers were not perfectly I don't know how others are doing, but mine is perfect after the screws are in. Board surface of the gate has hinge receivers on the frame and a bolt head on the board side. You can cut a recess into the boards with a sharp chisel to allow them to sit flat on the frame if you want them to lay flat.
We have used it on wood, metal, and just recently, The system is easy to assemble, works great with odd sized openings, and even handles walls that are out of plumb. In order to install a masonry hinge (peg), you'll want to use wall plate hinges (I used these and I used my own heavier duty self tapping screws for the metal gates. The ones they ship are just a little In general, I think the design has been good and easy to customize, I have had no issues with anything breaking so far.
