This is a welding table for the weekend warrior, not a fabrication table
4/5

Pros:
1. Adjustable legs and a folding mechanism that are well designed and manufactured.
2. size of work area that is acceptable. br>3. The finish is superbbr>4. Very sturdy, especially in comparison to the other guys' folding tables. br>5. 1000 pound weight limit br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this product.
1. The top plastic corner pieces are truly Dewalt!br>2. The dog is held in place by a stamped sheet metal top with the stamping running down through the holes.
3. The most serious flaw is that the top holes aren't the standard 0. Welding fabrication tables have 625" (5/8) dia holes. As a result, standard welding insert dogs and clamps are ineffective. There aren't any holes at all. They're about 0. 750" as advertised. 788”. If they were true, the answer would be zero. You could use 34"-inch holes instead of 750" holes. Bushings for axil reducers that are 5/8" in diameter.
4. DEWALT claims that standard dog clamps will fit it, but you'll have a hard time finding "standard" insert clamps that aren't for woodworking. br>br>Did I send it back? Will I keep it? Yes. Will I put it to use? Yes. So, what's the best way to go about it? Because I have a metal lathe and a milling machine, I machined the correct diameter plugs to fit in the holes for my real insert welding clamps. The other option, which I will eventually pursue, is to purchase a Northern Tool 24x36 static welding table with a 4mm steel top with 5/8" holes on 2" centers and mount it to the Dewalt top without the legs. This is a 5-star rating. br>br> If the top was 4mm steel and the holes were 5/8" on 2" centers, it would be a star welding table.

I've never used a more portable model
4/5

This is a fantastic product for anyone who needs to be mobile or has a limited amount of space. It's a great workspace that doesn't take up a lot of room when it's not in use. This is ideal for me because I have a small garage. My only gripe is a ridiculously large sticker that covered a portion of the work surface and was peeled off, leaving a thick coat of resin in its place. If it weren't for that annoying sticker that took a long time to remove, this thing would be ready to use right away. This, in my opinion, is a problem with the assembly. This is the best portable welding table I've ever used for the money.

I had high hopes for De Walt's products
3/5

It was a nightmare putting it together! I haven't tried welding on the table yet. After attempting to assemble the item, I wrote this review. br>The table itself is fine, but the assembly engineering and design, as well as execution, are clearly lacking. br>br>Assembling the cord holders is nearly impossible because the nylon nuts are buried, making it impossible to start the threads with a wrench. My lock nuts and Allen Head bolts are used to make the handle assembly. Two bolts are required on each side (horizontal and vertical). br>br>To add to the aggravation, one of the Allen head bolts and one nylock nut were missing from my table when it arrived. To add insult to injury, when I called the De Walt support number, all I got was a recording saying no one was available and to leave a message. br>br>To make matters worse, when I called the De Walt support number, all I got was a recording saying no one was available and to leave a message. br>br>DeWalt is capable of, and should be capable of, much more!.

The table is fantastic
5/5

Oh, and the label is now peeling right off!   This welding table is extremely durable and portable. Working on a shipping container/future workshop, we're doing oxy/acetelyne welding and cutting on an off-grid property. Because we'll be transporting our tools in a pickup truck, the more portable the better. We needed a table like this, and this is it. The holes are slightly larger than 3/4" in diameter. So it's not the same size as most welding tables, but it's a good size for finding or fabricating useful fixtures. Two 10" x 1 1/8" slats and four 13" x 1 1/8" slats are included in the set. br>The legs have firm grips, but each leg has a lock/safety pin as an added measure of safety. This is an excellent suggestion. When not in use, the safety pins fit nicely between the holes along the table edge for transport when folded up (I included a photo of this). It's also convenient that the legs can be folded for storage while still being fully extended. so you don't have to stow the safety pins after sliding them in br>The "cord minder" isn't deserving of your attention. Essentially, it's a cheap gimmick that, in reality, creates a toe-curling sensation. The handle has reinforced receivers and attaches to the table with bolts and nuts; it's a good size and comfortable to carry this hefty table. br>I decided not to install that part. It is not required to be installed, but it is ideal for my needs. You can also use it on top of a workbench by folding the legs in. The "feet" are made of plastic and are six in number. In this configuration, the surface will sit 7 3/8 inches off the table you set it on, and it will be 5" down from the table surface. br>A plastic folding release pulls the peg in on each leg, but the leg must still be levered up with some force. It would be difficult to accidentally release such a heavy mechanism. Despite the fact that the handles are plastic, they are tucked behind the legs and appear to be quite sturdy. The only way to find out is to wait. br>I noticed a lot of reviews complaining about how difficult it is to cleanly remove the sticker with the instructions and information. Someone must have heeded your advice, because this easily peeled away with no residue. I even recorded it and uploaded it to my YouTube channel. Isn't it great when feedback actually works?.

Excellent table with a lot of support
4/5

This will make an excellent welding and other project table. It has a couple of minor flaws, but it's still a keeperbr>- Although you don't need instructions, the print is so small that you'll need a magnifying glass to read it.
- In order to lower the legs, the lock pins do not fully retract. It takes some additional force to pull the legs down, which causes the lock pin to retract even further. I was concerned that something was wrong, but I suppose that's how things work.
- The tool holder and ground lug on the ends are not my favorite features. This makes it impossible to store the table upright. Because these are user-installed, I simply did not turn them on.
- The way the grab handle is attached bothers me. It's possible that I'll have to get rid of it.

Great table, but why use epoxy to adhere the label? The majority of the other reviews were accurate
4/5

This is a fantastic table, but removing the label is a pain, even with a heat gun, goo gone, and other solvents! It took a lot longer to remove the label than it did to put the unit together, and that was with some pretty bad instructions. br>I still recommend it because it's a nice table, but I had to deduct a star for the label!.
