A double layer of 3/4" plywood with a sanded finish on top, plus all the 2x4's and upgraded hardware, was used to build the wall. In addition to the $450 I spent for mine, I spent $400 on materials.
The bench kit (90164) and shelf link kit (90124) are in my order. In addition to the bench kit themselves, I chose not to use the shelf kit supplied with the bench kit. To make more shelves, I combined them with the shelf link kit. There are no differences between the It is my hope that
I say yes! A simple modification to this workbench would be to add wheels and castors. The bench is as sturdy as it appears to be, but it can be turned on its side or back once built. Place your wheels in this position, then attach them. Make sure to purchase wheels that are good! The mounting system should be good too. My first step was to buy some really cheap wheels from Amazon to save money. Was under the impression that the wheels would weigh 500 lbs. The rating must have been for a single use only! After that, I saw that there was a deal on Amazon for "Locking, Two inch dia.". Wheels are made of Polypropylene with metal frames that can hold up to 1000 pounds. It was a great success. The advice for plastic wheels is to stay away from them regardless of their rating. It is the mounting system for the wheels that is the catch. In most cases you can attach screws to the steel posts via four holes OR via a single 'Round", post with a metal "O-ring", mount The ring must be locked into position by the "ring". If you don't want to buy a larger plate, you can order a plate that attaches to the bench's bottom when the post is slid up into it. I found these to be effective. What do you mean by the one with When longer screws than recommended are used, there is still no corrosion Three boards "4" by #8, 3" There were repeatedly problems with metal deck screws that were 1/2 inch in diameter. Even without the weight of the screws, the bench weighs a lot, and the bottom literally tore apart! Using the wheels with a 3/8" diameter metal center post and the mounting plates I made from heavy steel angle, "L", the wheels fit on the mounting plates I mounted the post with brackets acquired from the local hardware store, and drilled a 3/8" hole in them for the post. I attached the brackets with four 1" screws into the bottom, and two into the side, so that they would hold Hope you have a good year!
As far as I can tell, the upper leg support accommodates the (3) pieces of wood. On the left and on the right In this case, the right sides of the wood are screwed into the leg support, and the diagonally placed 2 x 4 is laid diagonally across (seen from the top of the

This bench can be configured so many ways, that I thought I would share my own configuration. As I needed a worktop 4 feet by 2 feet, it needed to be 4 feet by 2 feet Per the suggestion of a previous reviewer, I pre-cut and painted all the pieces before I assembled, which made the painting process less stressful A set of 4" wheels is attached to the bench, which allows it The first lock pair I should have bought isn't enough. That's fine, that's what I've got For the angled cuts I needed leg space and foot space underneath the bench where a chair can be placed, so if you need any measurements please feel free to get in touch. Attached is a photo of all the screws, washers, etc. that I used in addition to the hardware included. Almost everything you see in the photos is included in the Amazon box, except the wood, of course. The Stanley power strip now has a light switch hard-wired to it. Powered by a power strip, the work bench light is plugged in. In addition to the adjustable bar stool, I also purchased an adjustable bar stool from Amazon that was cheaper and more functional than all the other options I looked into. Although I took four days to complete it, I enjoyed the ease with which it was constructed. Although I am not a carpenter, my father-in-law brought over his miter saw, which made the project go much faster (for Boxes fit perfectly on top of the top shelf because I left it the same size as the work bench. The structure reminds me of a pagoda, I think! The flat surfaces have all been cut with 3/4" plywood, and the back of the work space is made out of 1/2 plywood. I appreciate you viewing my work! These images might do the photos justice.
Please find below the parts list requested Please consider these points for A heavy duty caster with four wheels that measures 4". With a combination of 10 x 1 stainless steel screws and 1/4" washers (see photo) I screwed to wooded angles (I used 2x6 cedar wood left over from an arbor). I used 9 x 2 x 2 inches to mount the cedar wood A photo of 1/2-inch particle board screws (see below). To ensure I could rotate my casters, I did my best to place the cedar wood where I wanted it and mark it (see photo). To do this, I simply cut the wood at a 45 degree angle. Taking care of your home is not To make the lower shelf supports, you would do the following Here is an updated photo and measurements (see the photo). The particle board screws were used to attach them. For each contact point, there should be two. Having finished making the "wings", I traced the edge on the loose piece of shelving and marked the spots where I would cut it. Once the shelving piece was cut, I screwed it all The bottom shelf, middle shelf, and top shelf were all held together with six x 1" Drywall screws spaced about 12" apart.
The lower legs and upper 2x4 pieces were all screwed together with A little bit of a light This is what Home Depot has to offer The model # for this light is MNSL L48 2LL MVOLT 40K 80CRI M6 Internet #300263608 Store SKU #1002098190
A wire is required to use this light. You won't find any wiring in the kit. It is a requirement to purchase a three prong wiring kit as long as you require Power strips are what I connected the device to.
It took me a few days but I am extremely pleased with the end result. In order to make the side shelves, I purchased an extra set of shelf links. I love the final product as it is so sturdy Thank you for making this available to me, and I love my kitchen table, too!.
I ordered it thinking that it would be a great begging workbench for the price. I found to my dismay that it was only the legs, so I returned it and bought another piece of furniture. The entire thing is a demonstration of how this workbench is constructed and how it can be done in The only flaw is that there is a tiny spot that says nothing about lumber. Don't waste your money on those legs if you think you need them, just go to Lowe's and get some lumber.
My first impressions of the results are very positive, and I appreciate the simplicity of the I just received my new workbench for my bike shop now I'm ready to replace the old benches in my garage with something like this. The product is very sturdy, and I find it to be a great product.
As I entered the contest, I knew what I wanted, and this kit provided for it. I won't be lying, I cheated a bit by having the folks at the big orange box store cut all my wood for me (thanks for getting everything cut nearly perfectly by them). A sheet of 3/4 ply was overlaid with another sheet of 3/4 sanded birch plywood, and I also used upgraded 2x4s. In order to create a cleaner appearance on top, I opted for a two-layered look. I also installed my bench vise once this was installed, which allowed me to grab it more easily. Also, I added an extruded 1. 5'" rounded piece of moulding on the front of the bench in order to cover the front edge, as well as the two layers of plywood This is more aesthetic than practicable, but it still makes a nice impression. To allow for the plastic leg braces, I cut away small areas on each side as the ply sets behind them a bit behind the plastic legs. I chose one long top shelf for storing power tools and a smaller shelf on the side for smaller tools, bits, etc. I used a Miniwax stain conditioner and poly (recommended), as well as a Miniwax stain and poly. For my bench, I applied 3 coats since I will use it primarily for gun repair/assembly and wanted to avoid fluid stains, etc. I don't think I will beat or scrape the crap off the top, so poly should work great. It may be a better choice to avoid poly when doing carpentry, metal work, etc. In addition to some small storage buckets and hardware containers, I added some galvanized pegboard I also bought on AMZ. For clean ups, I added a shop towel holder on the side, and a bottle opener on the front was obviously necessary. There is a nice LED shop light across the top that provides more than enough light, as it is 5000 lumens bright. For the details work, I will purchase a magnifying glass lamp at some point. As a whole, this bench is cool. In retrospect, I probably spent more than I would have if I had just bought a bench and then assembled it. My car would still be customized but it would not be the way I like it, and I wouldn't have had any fun The book is highly recommended for anyone who even comes close to being Get the wood elsewhere, and it is quite easy to do. If you intend to assemble it yourself, get a nice power drill and a handful of Irwin Quik Grip clamps. It is impossible to do without them. You'll enjoy this.
