The Audi A6, and I believe other Audis, have intentions in the frame that runs along each side of the car under the rocker panels. This pad is designed to fit that purpose and, in effect, "capture" the frame with the jack. This pad will not work unless the other models you listed have the same indentation.
No, these are only for fighting Audis, but we do sell universal jack pads that should fit your Insight.
They will not work with your A8. You are correct.
I'm fairly certain it does, but you'll have to look under your car to find out. It's behind your front tires, and an arrow next to your side skirt indicates its location.

When I use a quicklift or a floor jack to lift my car, it no longer bends or cracks. They're a little tight for my car, but that's not a problem for me. I adore them; they've made my life so much easier since I began modding my car, and I've been needing it up in the air a lot lately. I'm not sure what Saudi models work, but it works flawlessly on my A6 2012. I wish they'd make a version that replaces the entire rubber block (along with the inserts) that Quickjack ships with.
When I lowered my A6 on a QuickJack, one completely disintegrated and the other cracked. Because the QuickJack moves the car forwards or backwards as it raises or lowers, when the tires hit the ground in Park, they pushed against the adapters in the slots, breaking them.
The pads are well-fitting and flexible enough to avoid damaging the underbody or rocket panel. On a two-post lift, I've used it four times with no problems.
My floor jack has a circular lifting area, whereas the frame of my Audi S7 has lifting slots. This adapter did exactly what it was supposed to do: it allowed my floor jack to properly lift my S7 without causing any damage.
I purchased one for my Audi A6 C7 2013 model. Allows for quick and simple car lifting. It's possible that the adapter will get stuck in the lift point because it's so tight. I discovered this after riding it from Wilmington, North Carolina to Norfolk, Virginia and back over the course of a weekend while stuck in the lifting point. When I got home, I discovered it and was blown away that it hadn't fallen out. Just remember not to lose sight of it if it becomes stuck. br>br>However, for the money, it's a fantastic product.
I have several of these, some in the spare tire well and others in the toolbox. Just make sure they're sitting where they're supposed to be when you lift the jack.
The recess found at the jack lifting points on my A6 was perfect for these pads. My hydraulic floor jack feels more secure and protected thanks to the rubbery grip of the flat bottoms. These do exactly what they're supposed to. I'd be even happier if Audi could just make it easier to get to central lifting points.
I'd prefer the item to fit "tightly" into the jack point opening, which would likely necessitate more customization (my car is an A6/C7). As a result, it is "universally" appropriate for the price.
