drywall, crown moldings, cabinets, dust barriers, tub surrounds, and heating and ventilation ducts are all good candidates for this product.
The rod is held in place by a rubber face that can be adjusted.
Expands from 29-1/2 to 49 inches in length.

Questions & Answers

Is this only applicable to vertical loads? Is it possible to tighten and secure this?

It isn't just for vertical loads. You can adjust the tension and secure it.

It says 63" to 120" (10 feet) at the top and Expands from 81" to 108" at the bottom. Is it one of these?

According to the vendor's website, 10' - 120".

Will the 108" support be sufficient to hold crown molding on a 9-foot ceiling? The distance between 108" and 9 feet is 9 feet, but it is at an angle. ?

It will, in fact. On my 9-foot ceiling, I used it to hang drywall. Put a 2x4 under the bottom if you need a little more height.

Metallic conductors or non-conductive metals fiberglass that conducts electricity?

Metal is used to make the Quick Support Rods. To improve grip, the feet are made of metal that is encased in rubber. As a result, it will conduct electricity.

enduring requirements This is being used as a supplemental center support for a long closet shelf with a wall-mounted support. mounted supports are subjected to additional stress as a result of a well-placed well-placed well-placed well clothing rod with a full load br>br>I suppose I could have just gone to a lumberyard and had a 2"x4" cut to the right length, but I liked the idea of something adjustable, didn't want to deal with finding a lumberyard and awkwardly transporting a long 2"x4" on the subway, and if I decide to go with a 2"x4" down the road, I'm sure I'll find this useful in other situations. br>br>It's a good solution; The only minor complaint is that whenever the pole is subjected to minor contact/impact, the lower section of the inner extending piece strikes against the inside of the outer pole (hope that makes sense), resulting in a clanking sound; It could have been avoided if there had been a second, stabilizing ring inside the pole to prevent the extending shaft piece from striking the inside of the pole, but it wasn't a major issue. You could try wrapping a section of the pole in cloth tape to see if that helps to muffle the sound. Alternatively, you could simply try harder to stay away from the pole.

I was looking for a tripod to use with a line laser for interior work when I came across this solution, which is superior for a number of reasons: br>1) less expensive (half the price of a good tripod),br>2) more useful than a tripod (floor to ceiling coverage and, though I haven't used it for other tasks yet),br>3) takes up less space than a tripod (especially in tight spaces). 4) very robustly built (surprisingly given its price point)br>br>Add a pole mount because I didn't have enough floor space for a tripod in this case, tiling a small bathroom)br>br> For a nominal fee of $10, you can get a 1/4" adapter. 15 and it's a great option for laser work in the interior.

Although they appear to be sturdy, one of the "feet" appears to be floppy, and clear instructions would be beneficial
4/5

We're about to convert an existing room into a wall and door, so we put up some plastic to get a feel for the new space. We ordered a pair of these supports because I've occasionally needed them. They're quite substantial- duty and have a good locking/release mechanism to adjust to the desired height, and then the entire shaft of the support turns one way to tighten (and the other way to loosen). The "feet" stay in place, making it easier to line things up (e. g. , we had to drape plastic sheeting over the top "foot" on each side of the existing opening for our application) a lot easier. The only issue is that one of the two supports we purchased has "floppy" feet that don't stay at the angle they're set at, making it difficult to drape something over the top or, I imagine, do anything. A few drops of glue, I assume, would make the foot less floppy, but it appears that all of the feet - top and bottom, as well as across a variety of supports - should be non-conforming to the same extent floppiness is the word for it. For that, I'm deducting a half-star. br>br>I'm also deducting a half-star because the included booklet promotes all of the accessories (some of which appear to be useful), but fails to explain how to use the actual support. The support comes with instructions on a label, but they only cover the basics of how to use it. For example, I recently discovered that I can lock and unlock the large round pin by pushing it in one direction. This was not mentioned in the label's general instructions. I'm not sure if I missed a clear outline of how to use it, but I doubt it. br>br>Perhaps something along the lines of:br>1) make sure the pin is unlocked by pressing (from left to right? is it possible to go from left to right? )br>2) depress lever and manually pull inner, silver half of support out while depressing lever until entire support reaches desired lengthbr>3) release leverbr>4) turn entire pole (counterclockwise? clockwise?) to increase length and tighten the fitbr>5) press pin (from right to left? starting at the left and moving right? ) to lockbr>br>I'm just guessing, but those are the steps. The actual steps, in my opinion, should be printed on a label attached to the device. br>br>They're a little pricey, but they appear to be well-made and will last a long time.

For Elder Care, this is a fantastic safety device
5/5

This is a great safety poll to have in the bathroom if you have a loved one who doesn't get up and down as easily as they used to. I used mine to help my Grandmother sit and stand from the toilet. This item costs more than a hundred dollars if purchased in the medical equipment section. It's a cinch to use.

Quick, simple, and professional are the three words that come to mind when describing this service I've been using them for a long time
5/5

I used to work for a company that had several different sizes, and now that I'm doing remodeling and renovations on my own, these are necessary. It's critical to have a quick method for creating a dust barrier. Customers are more relaxed, cleaning is faster, and tape/staples are less expensive. These short ones are great for holding up plastic as a dust curtain in doorways, but they're also useful for installing cabinets. I've used them to add pressure while gluing up paneling, shower surrounds, and other projects. Longer ones make quick work of putting up a floor-to-ceiling dust barrier with some plastic, aid in holding up long trim during installation, and were used to assist in drywall installation on the ceiling. When I went to the big box stores looking for them, the imbeciles looked at me cross-eyed. br>br>I was so happy to find them on Amazon that the imbeciles at the big box stores looked at me cross-eyed.

Tool that is well-designed
5/5

It's a well-designed tool that accomplishes its goal admirably. I bought it to put a cross on top of it. laser that self-levels in a line This tool is sturdy, easy to deploy and retract, and strong enough to dampen vibrations caused by the user walking around (my tripod transfers vibrations to the laser much more noticeably). To raise the pole, simply pull the top section (no need to press the button) until the feet make contact with the vertical and horizontal surfaces. Then twist the entire pole in a smooth motion to tighten it. br>br>Looking at the sturdy construction, I'm confident this will withstand some wear and tear. bumping on a similar topic.

I had no idea that in order to tighten the pole and achieve the ideal height, you had to spin it to the right

Just wi. My two HTC Vive base stations are in perfect working order. I had no idea that in order to tighten the pole and achieve the ideal height, you had to spin it to the right. It would be nice if it was available in black.

Tools that are fantastic! I purchased four of these Task Tools to assist me in installing a ceiling in the bar I am constructing, and they were fantastic! Each one can be raised or lowered by simply rotating it, and they are extremely strong
