My roof had a 4/12 pitch and a peak of 13'. I'm not sure what it'll do at maximum pitch. The casters are silky smooth. It was no problem for him to handle 12 foot 5/8 inch drywall. It was simple to assemble, but it was quite heavy. The wheel that cranks the chain was bent, so it only received three stars. The crooked chain is fed by it. It's still functional, but how much longer will it last? I couldn't return because I was in a hurry.
The lift is sturdy and well-made. It's very simple to move and roll around in. When I disassemble it, I wish it came with a bag to put it in. Even in pieces, this thing is quite heavy to transport. It certainly makes my job a lot easier. Without it, I wouldn't be able to do my job. It's incredibly simple to complete on your own. Getting the drywall or plywood onto the lift requires some strength. They make an accessory to help with that, but I haven't tried it yet.
Heavy-duty and sturdily constructed. High-end workmanship! I don't like renting tools, so I purchased the chain-driven panel lift to replace a cable-driven one that was stolen. This is far superior in terms of strength, smoothness, and ease of use.
The quality is excellent. It has a large reach. The wheels and the brake on the bottom are my least favorite features, which is higher than most. For starters, the brake does not touch the ground and thus does not function. Locks should be installed on the wheels. There is a lot of out pressure at the bottom of the lift when hanging vaulted ceilings. When the sheet of drywall is 12 feet in the air and the wheels aren't locked, it's a very uneasy feeling. Wheel locks should be included in the price.
The price was well worth it! I just purchased my first lift after 16 years. I'm not sure why I took so long to respond. Probably because I've tried some of the cheaper cable ones and wasn't impressed. I can reach 16' lids with the extension without fear of losing the sheet, and the lift remains stable. Live it!.
This thing is made to last, and it lifts a lot of weight! I bought one about 8 years ago to build a second home; it was made in China and was complete garbage.
This lift is fantastic for lifting, loading, and unloading my Tepui hardtop tent onto the roof of my Jeep Wrangler Unlimited.
In a store with a 14' ceiling, tin is being installed.
