Yes, this will work with plywood, Penny. Best of luck.
Although I'm not sure about fixing hinges, I used this tool to lift and slide a very heavy wood pocket door back into its track, and it worked perfectly.
If you're working alone, one should suffice as long as it's centered on the drywall. If you had to use both feet, you'd be in a very awkward position in front of the drywall, trying to nail or screw the drywall into place.
It's about 2 1/2 inches off the ground, according to my calculations.

Even for two people, this tool was necessary when hanging vertical drywall sheets in my basement. Don't bother with anything fancier; this thing is more than capable of getting the job done. Lifting sheetrock is a breeze with this tool. The item is sturdy and has a 1 inch lift. There are no issues.

I don't understand why people say the quality isn't good, because it's an excellent product for the price. I put up a lot of wallboard and it worked perfectly.
For my one-man drywall installation, this worked out perfectly. It was just the right size for the job and didn't damage my 1/2" thick drywall sheets.
This small tool saved the lives of two females. It was difficult for one of us to hold the drywall in place while also screwing it in. You're ready to go once you've plugged this in. If you have two people hanging drywall sheets, I'd recommend using two of them.
It's referred to as a "drywall lifter. " It appears to do a good job at that, according to the reviews, but I use it for something else. br>br>I have to lift the legs or corners of heavy furniture onto a heavy-duty platform. duty-free, low-cost Dolls of various heights (each with one leg or corner) I have other lifters that are designed specifically for my needs, but I've discovered that they aren't as durable, stable, or comfortable.
