This is what DIY is all about. Years ago, I used a flat prybar to get the little lift I needed when I installed drywall and replaced windows It's not uncommon for you not to have your prybar handy or not to intend to do that chore that requires a little lifting or there is just not enough space between you and the prybar to do the work. I don't have any of those problems with this little gem. The tool is so small and easy to use that it lives in my tool bag and is ready to use wherever I need it. I like it a lot, but how much? That's all right. Once I've used it, I will put one in each of the tool boxes in my vehicles. That's how convenient and easy it is. Did I mention that it's small as well? Aren't you just in love/hate with inexpensive handy useful tools that just shout out for support. To make it easier, I am buying one for each tool kit I own.

I used this method to install drywall in one day with one person. I was able to use it without damaging my 1/2" thick sheets of drywall it was just big enough for the job.

This is a really good tool that's very helpful for aligning drywall sheets. When my friend bought the book, he noted that the reviews were good but didn't know why it would be As I tried to place my first sheet of drywall, I found that it did not line up exactly with the wall edge. I had to adjust it to make it fit better. This is where the foot raiser comes in placed the sheet in one corner of the drywall and lifted one edge of the sheet until it was aligned with the corner of the wall. If this is not done, there will be a lot of muscling of drywall into place and much shimming of drywall.
