That is something that could happen. For my purposes, one worked perfectly, but the two can be stacked. I'm not sure if it will cause any additional movement, but it should be fine.
It's an id of 7/8. pipe with approximately 3" of 7/8 shaft protruding from the other end If yours is the same, go ahead and do it.
Don't squander your money on harbor freight knockoffs; instead, invest in the genuine article. Under weight, the HF unit's break mech fails, and the unit falls unexpectedly. It's dangerous to have a 12' sheet of 5/8" rock fall on your head.

There isn't much to say about this because it is fairly straightforward. Because the ceiling I was working on was 12" higher than my lift could go, I was able to finish using the lift. br>br>It's made of a fairly heavy-gauge steel and fits into the lift exactly as it should. Before you bend this extension, you'll need to bend parts of your lift. The only drawback was that to load the sheets, you had to lift them 18" higher.
It performs as expected, allowing you to gain an additional 18 inches of height. I'll have to make a 12" version as well. However, everything is ridiculously overpriced. The cost of the material was probably less than $5. I'm thinking of making a few in various lengths myself.
The lift is 5' tall. With the help of a helper, I was able to finish the vaulted ceiling with just enough added lift.
My Harbor Freight drywall lift has gotten a lot of use since I got it.
This is a well-made item.
