This product is incredible; it makes moving sheetrock or plywood a breeze!.
I can't say enough good things about this small device, which I wish I'd bought a long time ago. We recently moved into a fixer upper and had to put in an attic floor as well as repair some old walls. We were using those long nylon straps and harnesses, but lifting osb was still awkward, and I was worried I'd lose money on drywall that had broken. Thanks to the return of same-day shipping, this arrived in less than two days, and I immediately put it to use. I've carried osb, drywall, and 3/4-inch plywood in the past. This made lifting in the middle or being the person in the back who had to constantly bend down to go up the stairs a lot easier. We fell in love with this handle carrier so much that we bought a second one!.
Okay, so it's not as bad as dragging it across the floor, but that's still a lot of weight to carry around. Lifting this thing made me feel like I was going to break my wrist.
This was a gift for my husband, and he raves about how easy it is to move boards, sheet rock, and other items with it! It's well worth the investment! Very simple to use I'm glad we were able to locate one!.
Sheets of fire retardant drywall weighing 80 pounds were moved. Because of its sheer weight, I was concerned that it would leave an indentation or mark. Nothing was left behind, not even a speck of dust. This stack allowed me to have a one-man army. It's well worth the $20; I wouldn't have been able to do this without it. Purchase it; even if it is only for one move, the $20 is well spent.
Not only did this device make carrying full sheets of plywood much easier, but it also assisted us in raising plywood onto our roof. While it is fairly sturdy, it was dropped from the roof by accident and has been tampered with. It's not less usable because of it; it's just a little crooked. It greatly simplified the construction of our barn. br>br> I won't hesitate to buy another if I need one again and can't find this one.
I wish I'd bought one of these a long time ago. It's a piece of cake to move sheet goods on your own. This book comes highly recommended.
I used the carrier to move 68 OSB panels and ran into a few problems, including the rubber on the handle rubbing off. Although it appears thick and there is a lot of rubber there, it was a warning sign. The adhesive that held the grip tape in place began to fail. The grip tape began to crease and bunch up. I have a plan for fixing it and making it work in the long run, but it's disappointing that it only lasted one job.
